Having juuuust sold off the former Venetian $2s thinking I was done with this topic, I found some vibrant, minty, leaded beauties that were too good to pass up. They appear to be the same colors as the Paulson CDIs and Pharoahs.
The colors are way better than the original $25 (my least favorite chip in the lineup) and 4d14 spots are a perfect match.
Now, my question is whether to make a NEW $20 or an alternate $25 that would probably be my go-to.
New $20
PRO: Most games I would realistically host would fall into the category where a $20 makes more sense - players buy in with multiples of $20s rather than $100s. More chips in play.
CON: A green $20 might be confusing vs using a totally different color. But it would be denominated on the label.
Alternate $25
PRO: keeps standard color scheme and denominations. Bigger bank with a $25 vs a $20
CON: I think I might prefer an additional denom vs just one favored “secondary” denom in the “primary” lineup.
Milled and labeled 5 as a test. I think they are great! Likely the highest denom in play for a 25c/50c game, with $100s hitting the table if needed of course.
All done milling the new $20s - waiting on one other project before I place another order for labels. I love the vibrant colors in this set with these as a $20!
