Is there a link to the Auction of these chips here?
I think Luv could make some nice green on these chippies!

Shitty situation. Interesting thread.

Bashing is a understatement!!!! I’m now the guy that made tons of money off people for selling chips for as low as $12profit on a box yet people making 300-400$ of a single box

People are assuming this because you haven't indicated how much you paid for the chips...unless I missed it somewhere.

Not that you are at all obligated to!

But without that information people are going to assume that buying defunct casino chips in bulk is going to be a good $/chip deal as compared to PCF market prices. That goes for any case, not just Casino Cancun. Whenever I see chips that have been purchased en-masse from a closed casino my automatic assumption is that they were purchased for less than $1/chip. I think you sold the CC chips at around $2.25/chip, which is a fair price IMO for mint RHCs.

Not at all, but you sure as shit don't get to PM bully other buyers because you lied on customs forms, didn't insure, and want to get lost chips back to resell at a massive profit margin. Seems like a pretty clear cut case to everyone here based on this thread and the poll.
Where did I bully and demand them returned? Where did I lie on customs?

I was pretty vocal in the beginning of this thread and I was pretty hard on luv2. But after reading the last several pages I’m pretty much done with davin.

@luv2breformed my bad broski. Enjoy the chips.
@davin change your username if you ever expect me to buy chips from you
You are more then welcome to not
Buy from me, my feedbacks are more then enough to justify how I am and what I do

So before buying chips in the classified is everyone required to say how much they paid for them and how much they are making off of them? That’s new news to me

Follow the exchange though; you seemed to be upset that people assumed that you were making a bigger profit than you did.

My point was just that unless you tell people what you paid/got paid all they can do is guess. If you agree to air this stuff in public then it doesn't make much sense to be upset over them assuming your profit margin, because if you know that it upsets you then you should tell people from the beginning what the deal is/was. That was my point.

Your rhetorical question above seems like hyperbole when that's all I was trying to say.

Just one more thing for your consideration though: This conversation has involved ethics throughout, and if you want to appeal to the ethical parts of us then for future reference don't lie to try to trap people, and instead lay all the cards on the table right away. The quip appealing to the guy being a pastor, the incorrect statements, omitting that you were compensated, omitting that you are representing the seller.... none of that makes anyone want to lean on ethics.

Then again, I don't collect chips and I don't buy/sell at a profit. I play poker and I buy cheap chips so I can play poker.... so perhaps I should just shut the hell up...

Where did I lie on customs?

I think that was one of the "waiting to be answered" questions...

Basically, if you (well - actually the shipper) put the true value of the chips on customs/insurance forms, and the investigation shows this package as a loss, you (again, the shipper) should be reimbursed the initial investment and there would not be any financial loss. I don't think this has been stated with certainty.

Did the value on the customs/insurance forms for the missing package match the value of the package contents?

Just keep in mind everyone I brought these chips into this community for a very fare reasonable price, to be bashed this way is hurtful and I lay this to rest, ive told tanner to do as he pleases with the chips, our loss is his gain!!! Please stop bashing me as I take things very personally!!! Comments like the one @Venturalvn has made on someone else’s for sale ads really tick me off.

How many chips are in a box? I know a barrel is 20 and a rack is 100.

One of the white boxes? 100 chips per box (same as a rack). In the entire box that was shipped? I believe it was 1000 - someone correct me if I am wrong

Where did I lie on customs?

Since you asked...

You said you were out over 1000 in shipping and costs of chips...
I never said you were obligated to pay for it, i said that we are out over 1000 in shipping and cost of the chips, there's no insurance on a box

But the forms had a value of 100.

chips were had a 100 value on them as they came from INT. no one has been reimbursed, they couldn't even say if it was loss in customs held up in customs nothing

So, it sounds to me like you are out $100 with respect to the value of the chips. The forms should correctly state the value of the contents.

I am waiting for the "Yo Mama" lines to start between you two

example: Yo mama's so ugly that your Daddy will only go all-in blind

This post is bunch of malarkey - not sure what you have against Davin, but calling him a lier for the $100 that was put on the customs form for a shipment that he was on the receiving end of is quite the stretch.

I was an earlier proponent of sending the chips back to Davin, but I did change my vote. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, as I've met some incredible people here who I would do anything for, but this has devolved into unsavory territory.

This isn't to say I wouldn't trust Davin again. Having your actions scrutinized by an entire forum would undoubtedly reveal some missteps, whether intentional or not. This leads to defensiveness and name calling, which is especially frustrating when you've otherwise built up a solid reputation. Clearly, he has proven himself to be a reliable buyer and seller of chips based on past transactions.

No one's perfect here. I've sold boat chips for huge profits. I've conned old ladies out of thousands of dollars of chips for a fraction of their worth, then sold them here for huge profits (but below market value). However, at the end of the day, I only hope that I tipped the scales towards favorable in my contribution to the community.

Davin/Tanner, you know our opinions, now please do what needs to be done to wrap this up.

Sales & buys don't build rep...attitude & straight shooting does.

Megaton & Davin ≠ same ballpark

I did end it with telling @luv2breformed to do as he pleases with them, I even offered to send him two decks of cards from the matching casino to go with his set for FREE

Well, I was still hoping to hear back from the eBay seller first before I committed fully, but it seems time is working against me. I would like to state first off that I never meant to crucify davin. In fact, even to this point I think he's probably a decent guy. I was genuinely concerned about what to do and didn't know where to turn, so I turned here.

Something that I think is very important here is not simply if these are the same chips, but also how these chips came to be in my hands. IF they were stolen, I feel some obligation. IF they were procured legally, I feel free and clear.

After everything, IF the eBay seller responds back and is legit then I will be confident that these chips came to them legally, and then to me legally. I will be keeping all of them. IF the seller seems super shady, then I would want to probably dig a little deeper and found out more information. At this point, with all of the information I have I am strongly in the camp of keeping them.

I also want to add that I thank EVERYONE for the enormous amount of support and even-handedness throughout this process, BOTH in thread and in PM. I hold no grudges or ill will to ANYONE here! I was seriously considering leaving this community when I started this thread. Now I want to state very clearly that I will be sticking around and happy to do so.

WTF are you Davin haters smoking? Seriously - this thread has me changing my opinion about participating in this "community" - I think a lot of you should personally be ashamed of yourselves. What are we, 12?
