Going to cut straight to the chase--looking for a 108"x48" (9'x4') table topper. I imagine I'll have to get this custom, since several google searches pumped out nothing except for layouts of that size.

Any custom topper makers? I know there have been a few PCF mats made, but I don't know if size customization is even possible. If someone has any insight, one way or another, I'd love to know if it's possible or even realistic

Yeah, but he's looking for a combination of both (playing surface plus "suspension" underneath) in one product.

You'll end up with much better padding with the DIY. And I'm you'd save a lot of money too.
Have you guys seen the hoody video where he brags that the chips bounce "very nice, very quietly?" And then you hear a CRACK like slightly muffled clay on wood? I dunno; I've never used one. But it seems like minimal padding to me.

Yikes... I think I might just go the DIY route... seems much more reasonable. Can probably do things with the playing surface I otherwise couldn't. Thanks for this!

Build a portable multifold topper using 1/4" MDF, Gorilla Tape hinges, 1/4" foam, and SSC. Assuming you already have a 9' x 4' table to put it on.

Way too big for poker imo, btw.

I usually play in my office and for insurance reasons, we have to lock active case files and originals into one of the rooms while we play. Due to extenuating circumstances I can't lock em in the same room we used to, relegating us to the conference room/library. Only way my Barrington folding table fits in there is if I haul out the 9'x4', solid wooden conference table into the next room. I realized after doing it this past weekend that clearing the junk off the table is a lot easier than clearing the table from the room, hence the need for a massive topper haha.

I think I might go with either your folding option or @Irish's DIY roll-up. Poker Hoody sounds nice in theory, but sounds like the padding stinks based off the video posted earlier

"I need a 9" table topper..."

I've heard of micro-stakes, but this is ridiculous.
I know it's absolutely ridiculous, but in Manhattan square footage is hard to come by so me and my buddies play in my office and for insurance reasons we stick to the conference room. I could keep hauling out the 9" solid oak conference table and keep having to haul it right back a few hours later, or I can bite the bullet and get a comically oversized topper. The Barrington table we play on is mediocre enough that I don't feel bad saving it for the rare MTT or traveling game, a topper isn't that big a downgrade haha

This one is only 8-1/4" wide... Not quite 9 inches.

Has anyone used them? I’m thinking about getting a custom mat made.
I own two and I like them. But you know this, I've already recommended them to you: ;-)
I bought my mats from https://www.montapisdejeux.com, two square 140cm×140cm neoprene mats and only payed like 20 euros for shipping up to the deep dark north. There are other european sites that offer these as well for roughly the same price, but this was the cheapest on shipping that I found.

They have square, round, oval and rectangular mats. The largest oval and rectangular ones are 220cm×110cm.

You can select 2mm or 4mm thickness, I went with 4.

They seem to offer customization, but I went with a stock design

Here is some pr0n of my mats:

I even made fun of the metric fumble in your OP! ;)
This one should work if you don't mind it hanging over the edges of your table.

My review: They look great, the cards slide well. Even with a 4mm thickness the cards are a bit fumbly to bend up. Soft cards work pretty well (albeit not as well as on my poker table) but stiffer cards almost need to lifted. I could mitigate this by having something soft beneath, but then I'd lose the really good grip it has to the table.

Also, when rolling them up after a game there's a lot of static electricity, almost like hugging an electric eel. Not that I've ever done that sober

Just like the man who pissed into the wind “it’s all coming back to me now” :ROFLMAO:

I’d be after something similar to @HMK mat. Any French speakers able to help me with the order?

English worked just fine, i don't speak any french. I had their site Google translated to swedish, and then sent an e-mail in english. Nice guys, easy to work with. I recomend them.

And customization was next to nothing. I think i paid 10€ extra over the listed price on the Website for a custom design.

Scissors!! :sneaky:  :ROFLMAO:
Since the edges are just edges (and not fancy like the PCF toppers) this might actually be an alternative.

@BonScot, what do you mean only rectangles? Are you looking to have a rectangular shape but with rounded edges? Or do you want an oval? 'Cause they do sell ovals.

I’m after an oval but their website says that for customised mats they only do oval mats in 60x35cm.
