Personal preference Leaded TRK> Leaded RHC > Leaded THC > BCC > CPC CSQ mold > everything else! Lol probably get booed off the stage but I love leaded RHC chips! The large lip gives them a unique feel and seem a bit more dense than THCs, I am sure that is because of the design and not the chip compound but hey... we all like different stuff!

Love when someone ruffles the conventional wisdom. While we’re doing that... for me it’s:

Sundance house mold, uncirculated condition

Leaded THCs... real textured inlays... shaped or unshaped... slightly broken in, otherwise uncirculated... no smooth chips please!

worn Sundance house molds

other leaded house molds that are “THC like” (ie thick clay perimeters like Dunes not the skinny ones like mgm Detroit)

Well worn THCs

Paulson mold chips... I actually find them to shuffle quite nice. I know this one will stir some negative reactions!

BCCs

CPCs - b-mold guy myself

RHCs - obviously leaded and real inlays preferred.

TRKs... I know start throwing your tomatoes but I’ve owned several barrels, never a full set, so maybe that is it... never experienced the history of a set which I can be a big sucker for. But ultimately they feel too small in my hand and find them awkward to shuffle for my taste. People always say how they shuffle like butter... a Le Cove or a Colorado Belle $1 shuffles like butter to me, not TRKs. Just one man’s take.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that!! The awesome part of this amazing hobby is that we can all pick what works for us! I was told by a veteran chipper it wasn't about the feel but the colors of TRKs, when I finally got my hands on some awesome leaded TRKs I couldn't believe the feel. But I know several chippers that agree with you that it isn't for them.

I don't see any of this a right or wrong. The prices of each of these is reflective I think over the overall opinion of what those are, obviously rarity and desirability as far as colors, edge spots and an attractive inlay design play a role as well.

I actually think many of those factors are more important than feel and durability to many, the "WOW" factor will always play a role!

Like what you like right? Lol

I’m not going to argue with you putting mint Sundance on top or TRKs on the bottom - I think they’re defensible positions.
But putting well worn THCs ahead of all those other chips is shocking to me. They handle like butt.

Does "house mold" mean it has their name stamped into the ring? I've noticed some that have just the casino name, or some that are a hybrid of the name and THC/RHC.

Correct, house mold is specific to the name of the casino itself in the mold. Examples, Mirage, Stardust, Caesar’s, etc. If it says Paulson, those are chips that Paulson made when they sold to the home market. Fantasy chips such as as Casino de Isthmus 2005, Classics and the like.
