I like 2 racks because moar is just more fun! It’s a pain for counting all-ins and cash outs, but they are usually a beautiful chip and nobody seems to mind. Sometimes, you can catch donks like me betting odd denominations to force people to give me a mountain of fracs to horde. It makes for sexy stacks that other donks can chase for fun. Clearly, I’m over compensating for something but oh well! I also like the flexibility if I need to give out fewer fracs but to more than 10 people (hasn’t happened yet).

If on a budget or there’s limited availability of chips, there’s nothing wrong with 1 rack! Just hook up my degenerate IV and give me whatever you’ve got. I’m not that particular!

One rack is not enough. Two racks is more than enough. My OCD only allows full racks. So 2 racks is the answer.

I vote for neither. I’ve always been in the moar camp, and I’ve run many cash games now. I find having 120 is the sweet spot.

That said, I’ll re-iterate, having 200 fracs has its place when running a friendly .25/.25. I’ve definitely had 200 fracs in play and it’s not any sort of an issue.

Each chipper is different with different clubs, different people and games they play, with the different stakes they are at. So I feel there is no “Hoyle” book on correctness of breakdown when dealing with custom poker chip cash sets.

I agree I also have sickness for chips and an especially reckless propensity to acquire fracs I’ll probably never even use.

I swear, all fracs acquired can get subbed in. You are more than justified here to say this, even demand it. I promise, I will use them. I’ve been rotating all my chippies.

A few places have 50mm racks. I think I bought mine from Texas Poker Supply. Broken Arrow also have 50mm racks that hold 5 barrels but obviously they wouldn't fit in a BirdCage.

Two racks. I usually felt 120-140 fracs, but I'm prepared should we have two tables. It would be tight with only one rack on each table, but for the games that I host, three racks could be considered by some as excessive.
