I vote for neither. I’ve always been in the moar camp, and I’ve run many cash games now. I find having 120 is the sweet spot.
That said, I’ll re-iterate, having 200 fracs has its place when running a friendly .25/.25. I’ve definitely had 200 fracs in play and it’s not any sort of an issue.
Each chipper is different with different clubs, different people and games they play, with the different stakes they are at. So I feel there is no “Hoyle” book on correctness of breakdown when dealing with custom poker chip cash sets.
I agree I also have sickness for chips and an especially reckless propensity to acquire fracs I’ll probably never even use.
