I decided I don't want two cash sets (I have DDLM for .5/.10 and HS Cleveland for .25/.50). Easiest thing would be to add on to the DDLM, right? So of course I have decided to expand the HS Cleveland instead.  I just prefer clay for cash games.

First, my current breakdown:
  • 100 x Majestic Star T500 (36mm)
  • 100 x moss green HS T25 (36mm - relabeled as 25c)
  • 150 of $1 HS Cleveland
  • 140 of $5 HS Cleveland
  • 100 of $25 secondary HS Cleveland
  • 10 of $100 HS Cleveland
I need some crowd-sourced wisdom. Here is where my thinking is, but open to any good ideas:
  1. Option 1: relabel purple T500 as 5c and buy more T25 moss greens. Problem is, I can't find more moss greens!
  2. Option 2: relabel moss greens as 5c, buy more purple T500s and relabel as 25c
  3. Option 3: buy 2 racks of something completely different as a frac and relabel either the T500 or moss greens as 5c
  4. Option 4: relabel the $25s as 25c and find something else to relabel as a $25 or $20. I really love the $25, so this would be a way to put these into play more. If I did this, I would be tempted to find a yellow or pink to relabel as 5c to match the edge spot
I plan on getting more $1 and $5. Will put up a wanted ad soon.

i personally don't like two green chips in a lineup. Perhaps a blue quarter and purple nickel?
I agree.
Pink, blue, orange etc can all be used as different denominations, but green seems to only work as a $25. Maybe it's just me.

If you stay with the moss green, I'd prefer it as the 5c, because you'll likely not use it in the same game as the $25.

I had the same thought about moss green as 5c - I don't think the $25 and 5c would ever meet on the table. I also would only need 100 of the 5c so lack of supply of these chips would not be an issue.

I got the set this way. They are distinguishable, but not my preference either.

Do you guys think the Paris $1s could be overlabeled versus murdered?
Yes - I would like to know if folks have successfully over labeled the Paris $1. My preference would be to over-label any chip I add to the set. Both for philosophical reasons (I don't like destroying an original inlay) and practical (it's cheaper and I can change my mind later!).

Good idea.

Cleveland $1s aren’t that rare obviously but they’re not commonly available outside of a set these days. @arch3r has… a disproportionate number of racks of them.

If the $1s are in EX+ condition yes the inlay groove is deep enough to fit an overlabel without spinners (the label still has to be thin).

Nice! Those are tata-rific!

Good info too. Do you know of any way to gauge or measure if the inlay groove is deep enough? Or is it just a try-n-see kind of deal?

I think for your quarters you should go with
Paris 1's
or Flamino solid 1's
A very quick and crude attempt to visualize the Paris $1 in the set. In the pro column: I love the Paris $1, per @DirtyTIVA they can be overlabeled, and they are readily available. Goes great with the $100 I think. Not sure how it goes with the rest of the set, though.

Well done with the mockup. Consider puling similar pictures of the Horseshoe Cleveland chips that you have and look at them all together with the same quality image. Could make a difference in how you feel about them all together.

@TheJestyr has a lot of clevelands
Where do you think I got the $25s and $100s? I may need to go back to him hat in hand for $1s and $5s.

Want to make sure I have my breakdown right before I start asking folks to sell. Thinking I will go with a variation on the Quad Johnson standard:
100 5c
200 25c
200 $1
200 $5
80 $25
20 $100

Anyone disagree? Most games will be in the 10c to 50c BB range. Occasional $1/$1 range. Rare if ever $1/$2. I don't see myself ever going above that.

Hwre are some paris 1,s overlabled, i will send a better picture later

That overlabel is so good, I said to myself, "What overlabel? Where is the overlabel? @RowlettTexasChipGuy is full of...ah...I see it now."

Nice set of chips!
What stakes do you use for this set and what are the buy ins and rebuys like for you?
With $4k in 100s, you bank is probably never short.
Do you always get into the 25s?
We play dealers choice
Original buy in is $100
25's get in play
100s really don't

Thinking of making the 100s into quarters or 1's so they do get in play since I like that chip so much

I LOVE MY CLEVELANDS!!!!!!!! But I can absolutely part with some $1's and $5's...haha :)

I use a yellow chip for my .05 and a light blue for my .25. I love my lineup.

I also have a couple racks of horseshoe snappers and scandia casino $1's if you're interested that already have horseshoe cardroom labels on them.
