Hi all

I’m having a spot of bother deciding which $5 chip to go with my HS Cleveland set. I originally bought some cinci fives, but am not sure that I like them with the Cleveland’s, as the colours seem a bit dull.

I have since bought a rack of casino lines fives, which I am considering destroying and relabelling with a laminated Cleveland label.

In an ideal world I’d just scrap the 5 and buy some 1k and 5k chips, but I can’t justify the cost of those.

What do people think is the better option? Any and all opinions welcome.

Love the Radiant Red 5.

However, the stack heights might tilt me too much.

I’m always a fan of Radiant Red $5s... best color in the Paulson lineup as far as I’m concerned.

Way better than the Cincy gives,
but those yellow spots next to the yellow spots on the $25s might drive me a little bonkers.

Both valid points and ones that I had considered.

I’ve used my cpcs enough that I think I can deal with the stack height.

The yellow spot may be more of an issue, but that radiant red is really doing it for me.

First world chip problems.

There are a lot of HS Cleveland $5s running around at decent prices. Is there a reason not to just buy some?

They're all pretty used compared to the other chips in the lineup - which is why I'm guessing he's looking for options? :)

As links_slayer says, the actual Cleveland 5s are far too used for my liking.

The casino lines are about as used as I can handle.

I like the fives in the first pic the best. It flows better from chip to chip imo.

Copy that.
I agree the Cincinnati will be dull compared to the Cleveland. I have had @Gear make Cleveland labels for me. If you go non-laminated you might be able to leave the original label intact if you want to resurrect it someday.

I am in the exact same position. The chip I am looking at relabeling is the Aruba. Or some of these other options. I think the Bourbon St. is expensive and hard to get though.

As much as I love the radiant red, my vote also goes with the first option... those colors seem to be more in the same dark'ish tone family which is disrupted with the bright pink/red of the casino lines $5.

Of course another option is just to build a new set around those radiant red $5's. ;)

Here were the $1's that I was planning to pair with those oh-so-pretty radiant red $5's.
