Heading to Vegas for the Builders Show in February.

We have a discounted rate at the Horseshow or Planet Hollywood. Both are under $200 a night.

Which is better for poker?

Which is better for accommodations?

Should we stay somewhere else? Likely a $300 maximum/night.

Planet Hollywood doesn't have a poker room anymore, but is basically across the street from Aria. Horseshoe poker room is ok for smaller stakes casual games. PH generally has nicer rooms, but Horseshoe was redone recently, so not totally sure.

Are you going to play poker after work ? Or did you want to harvest some samples?

Between the two, go with Horseshoe:

• Nice new poker room
• Newer rooms than PH
• Centralized location on the strip

I'd choose PH if you plan to shop/eat at Miracle Mile more than once, which is my favorite shop other than the North Vegas Outlet Mall. Only poker rooms near PH now are Aria and MGM. Aria is a super nice room but a pretty tough room to play in (long list, young aggressive players).
