Hi all! I'm organizing a club in my area and decided to join PCF to help "dress up" my games (3 Viewers)

I found a group that plays a low stakes 3-5 table tournament every week and have been identifying players that are interested in something more. I've hosted three tournaments now, two with 2 tables and one with 3 tables. Players like that the pool takes my games more seriously due to the slightly higher stakes ($50 vs $20/$10) and single rebuy structure.

Another differentiator I'm going for is a "dressed up" more premium experience. While the other game uses dice chips and the folding tables already set up at the venue, I'm using a more unique/premium chip set and a borrowed Barrington for the final table. Unfortunately it looks like we need a new venue going forward and they're only comfortable with the one game per week.

I'm here on PCF to see what y'all are doing to make your games nice. Chat a little. Maybe find more people in my area.

I picked up a used ESPN Barrington yesterday and I'm interested in modding it and picking up a topper. Looking forward to ordering it soon! I just bought a battery for the LED strip. Does anyone already know if RJ's toppers are so thick that they hide the LEDs?

I collect $5 and $1 chips from every casino I go to. Looks like I've been to 17. It's too bad they're usually gross chips.

The chips are sometimes custom, sometimes vintage. Special dealer's buttons.

Custom tables. If not that, then custom felts.

Food & drink. Hot dog roller. full bars.

Sometimes private dealers.

Look around the site. Not everyone is into full decadence, but there will be plenty of remarkable stuff to boggle over.

Last time I went to my co-worker’s game I decided it was my last time!
They use a wide assortment of plastic chips (all colours are worth the same) paper cards, and play on the kitchen table. I decided poker is far too tactile to enjoy that setting.

So good on ya for stepping up the game! I will also suggest some nice playing cards (if you don’t already) Broken Arrow and Desjgn should be on your list.

lol yeah ... I can probably fit two tables in the basement, but probably not three without a smaller couch.

Walk out would be awesome, for sure! I do have a dry bar (may make it a wet bar in the next couple years). And a True drink fridge with Pepsi branding upstairs in the garage. I'd love to have it downstairs, but it is quite loud.

All colors worth the same? OMG

I have a ton of Copag decks already. I also have a pair of KEM. Just yesterday I looked to see how much KEM are now, and wow. $75 for a pair while Copag are $21. I didn't remember KEM being that much 2 years ago. Definitely not letting anyone use my KEM now! lol
