Hey All,

So I’ve obtained a few barrels of VLV/Scandia $25 chips. Looking to murder them, and already have Gear textured laminated labels coming to place on the murdered chips.

The Scandia Chips are done and didn’t take that long, but these VLV chips won’t budge! The plastic layer came Off pretty easy but the actual label is stuck on there good! My non-acetone Nail Polish remover isn’t doing the trick. Any advice!!

Thanks!!!

How long and how much nail polisher did you use? Got a picture?
I use like 6-8 drops. Sometimes I need up to 10. After 20 seconds the label should come up.

So I use a Q Tip and dunk it in NP, then I run the label only until it’s fully saturated, then I use something pointy or sharp like my knife and scoop the label off, sometimes it’s really easy to come off, sometimes I need to work at it. For these chips nothing is helping.

Crazy. I’d recommend to use a pipette to speed the progress up, but that shouldn’t be your problem. I have no idea. Is it a gear label? Did you label them? Or are these labels from Paulson?

These are from Paulson.

Ditto. Some times I’ve needed the NPR to soak for a few minutes before the under-label would budge.

Newer chips like boat chips and live casino chips seem to be easier - a couple drops and 15 sec and it releases right off. Seems like the under label on older chips are ‘cured’ on there harder and need a longer soak and a some extra scraping.

Good luck!

there is always this option... I was just doing these exact same chips a couple days ago. Actually even for milling they are the trickiest ones I have done so far.

Very interesting!! I wish I had that machine to do that lol. I might just go that route.

Question? Does removing some of chip effect the weight or any characteristic of the chip? Can you even tell by handling if a chip has been milled?

Thanks!

Milling an inlaid chip like this only removes the inlay. I am not removing any of the chip other than maybe a very minute amount of material. When I get a chance later today I will weigh a barrel of milled VLVs and take some close ups for you.

How many do you have to murder?

Right on, yeah I was just curious. I only have 20 that need to be done.

Don't know if its worth it given the time etc. But if you want, pay for my shipping and I will swap a barrel of milled ones (minty like yours) for yours. PM if you want to figure that out and I can send photos to you etc. I don t have much going on for the next couple months so I don't mind milling more.
