Hi there, guys!

Looking for some advice/comments on a couple of choices I have for one of my to-be relabeled sets.

The base of the set is the Kelley's Nugget $5 chip. It's one of my favorite chips ever and I was lucky enough to scoop all the racks Mikko had of them a few years back. I love them. They are definitely not for everyone, specially the inlay. VERY old school, LOL! As usual, Radiant Red doesn't photograph well as it looses it's brightness, but based on the pictures, you can have an idea.

So, I have two options for the $1 chip and two options for the $25 chip. The $1 options are Aquarius $1s and the Fortune $1s, I have 3 racks of each, although I'm only showing 2 racks of the Aquarius (third rack was purchased after the picture was taken). For the $25s, the options are Terrible STJ Sec $25s and HS Cincy $25s. I have slept on those options for a long time and I can't make my mind up. Other suggestions are welcomed also. I rather stay away from White $1s though, so the options are definitely limited. For fracs, I'm probably gonna use the Aliantes $1s in the picture and for hundos, the Bremerton Lanes $100s (not pictured). All chips are mint.

I appreciated your thoughts guys!

Birdseye with all chips including probable Fracs:

Kelley's Nugget $5s different inlay design on each side. Very likely the other chips will be re-labeled using Kelley's inlays:

Last time I was at your house those $5's really caught my eye Paulo! I think I like the light blue $1 better and the $25 that includes pink spots. But whatever you do you are a winner with those hottt $5's! And I will confirm photos do not do these chips justice.

I *LOVE* those Fortune $1s. I don't know that I have seen them before. Are they available in quantity in that gorgeous condition? Where??!!

Funny story, Mike: I had been to Spinettis many time before. Every time, he had a rack of those Kelley's Nugget $5s on display and every time, those were the chips that caught my eye. I thought they would be too expensive being mint and all. Until one day I decided to say F it and bought the lot, LOL!!! NO regrets, man...

They are also one my favorite chips, Mel. I like them better than the Aquarius in a vacuum. They were harvested mint the day the casino was open so it's not likely you'll find them mint anymore. Unless someone has some. :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:

Seahawks flashback, Mel? :p

Voted option 2. Gotta go with the Fortune $1's regardless of other choices, that darker blue is beautiful with the $5's. $25's are a bit of a toss up, I think either of them works well. I think if you use that $1 then, imho, the choice of $25 doesn't make much of a difference.

Special thanks to @bivey, who was at Spinettis with me. I bought 5 racks and he bought 2. He later sold me his two racks as he was tired of me begging him for those. LOL!!! Thanks, Bert!

Think I like the Cinci $25 with the set. I think I like the Aquarius more. The Fortune chip itself more than the Aquarius but the set seems too dark. Probably doesn’t look that way IRL but from the photos it does.

Edit: also think the Fortune outshines the Kelly’s when paired and you want the Kelly’s to be the star.

Option 1 for me. The Fortune $1s are nice but too dark for the bright $5. I think the Aquarius $1s go better, along with the lighter Terrible’s $25.

Anyone saying other than option 2 is wrong.

I may end up arguing how my opinion is right and dissenting opinions are wrong, no matter the evidence, for many hundreds of posts;)

I'm always up for some arguing myself, Geno, but I wanna be impartial. :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

20 x 3 in favor of the Furtune $1s as of right now. I'm surprised it's that lopsided. Things are more balanced on the $25 chip front. Very interesting!

I voted for #2. The Fortune $1s are striking and, as far as I'm concerned, a given. I do like the HS Cindy $25s, but combining two dark chips in that trio just doesn't do it for me. I also think this lineup works better with the proposed quarters. So, it's #2 until and unless I change my mind.

This is an insanely difficult decision without seeing the chips in person.

If you hang on to all the chips, you'll have lots of flexibility.

GL!

My sister lives in Seattle. I noticed less than a week after Fortune's opening that those chips were available. I contacted my sister...she went to get chips...and chickened out. I was sad then, and still am today.

I would be too, man. That's a heck of a chip! I know taste varies and Mona Lisa to some is garbage to others but still...
