New to forum. I just started lurking a few days ago. I am in awe of all the information available on this forum.

I realized when I sat down at the pub tourney tonight, that the chips are custom labeled Majestics. This place has opened my eyes to a whole new world.

Actually, I think those may be relabeled Claysmith "The Mint" or "Monaco Millions" (or at least the same base chip), and probably have a bit of weight to them. If you get your hands on a sample of the Majestics, you'll notice the weight difference immediately. I have samples of both, and the Majestics are noticeably lighter.

Welcome Andy! This place has so much info and items for sale at fair value rather than the usual eBay markup. Also great posts on deals thru local craigslists ads. Oh, I'm just re-reading it - is the pub poker free, but they actually pay out like $100 to the winner? Is that how it works?

It's not a great payout structure, but there is probably a location fairly close by. It is what it is.

Just picked up a poker table today used on craigslist.

Couple of dings... not the colors I would choose... but the price was right and the drive wasn't too far.

Now nine or ten chairs and we are good to go.

Nice pick up. It had been for sale for a while, so tempted, but was just out of convenient driving distance for it to be a dud.

Down the road a bit, I will give it the business. It will do the job as is for awhile. The hectic half of the year is upon me, so next winter would be the time to fool with it.
