I think I have fallen into a rabbit hole
This all started when my basement was completed and I bought a cheap poker table for neighborhood cash games. Since I have room to host now I want to get a set of chips.
The journey so far:
- Looked at local CL, which mostly have used dice chips for sale. Almost got a set and luckily (?) someone bought it before me.
- Checked discount poker, decided on some 13.5 g 500 ct Ace-King set.
- Realized the same sets are cheaper from Amazon so ordered one set there. The quality was really bad (smear paint, bad markings, etc.) Ended up returning and not wanting to get dice chips.
- Saw in Amazon that the 500 ct 13.5g Crown Casino had very good reviews. I checked HobbyPhilic's review in youtube and decided to get them (Also learned about this site from him.)
- Google Express sent me 15% off coupon and I checked that they had those chips from Wayfair and I ordered on 8/29 and they are supposed to arrived today.
- I didn't receive any tracking number, etc and Wayfair ended up cancelling my order. I guess they don't want to sell them for 15% off since they are listed as in-stock on their site.
- While waiting, I kept reading more reviews.... and now I am thinking about China Clays. And now I kind of want to get the Milanos.... so I can get one decent set and not have to worry for a long time.
So that is how I end up creating an account and introducing myself here. I guess my questions are, should I go with the Milanos or the ABS like the crown casino for my first set? Apache is out of stock but Claysmith's site has sets available. Also is pokerchipmania legit since they are like 15% cheaper than Claysmith. Also a store in Ohio call Koma product has them as well (free shipping.)
Thank you for reading this far.
