Unlike Tina, they even reversed the hats correctly. I really can't see how GPI let's this fly...
Yeah I was looking at that too. Does that suggest that this is a second (and different) RHC knockoff mold? And not that I want to see it, but how can multiple companies fail to recognize the huge preference for THC? Maybe a THC knockoff would just print that much worse, ceramically speaking.

It's possible they figured that the larger inlay area of an RHC knockoff would allow people's artwork to show more clearly. One of the main advantages of the THC over the RHC, as you know, is that there is less chance of flea bites because there's more space between the impression in the mold and the edge of the chip on the THCs. But with a ceramic chip it doesn't matter, so they didn't have to worry about that.

Could also be that the vast majority of casinos these days use RHC, and therefore someone thought it would be more appealing since it looks more like the chips you can actually go and play with today.

Or maybe they thought that Paulson wouldn't give a damn since the RHC mold is considered the inferior mold on PCF (ROFL).

But, yes, I would assume that this is a completely different mold from what Tina is offering. It's probably coming out of the same damn factory in China, but it's different nonetheless.

Indeed. GTFO.

Vote with your chipping dollars and protest posts.

TPS will never get another dime from me.

Personally, I'm hoping this trend continues in this direction. Looking forward to a year from now when we are discussing how much Tina's clay THC chips have the exact look and feel of actual Paulson chips and if that is a trademark violation.

I would hope TPS would not produce versions of live chips, or even anything close to resembling live chips. Regardless, using the top hat and cane mold is enough to declare them dead to me.
