Great Poker Chip Case (1 Viewer)

To anyone who uses the 1,000 chip Viper case to run 2 tables... are you able to fit 4 decks of cards in it somehow?
Haven't tried but I don't think it is possible.

Hi everyone,

New to the site and having just received a new poker chip case, I thought I’d share.

The usual story. First chip set purchased on eBay along with the standard silver case with the exploding handle. Eventually moved to a custom ceramic set and one of those nice glossy mahogany cases. Really good case but not something I like to move around with.

I play regular games with two groups of friends and I’m the only one into poker gear so I end up carting everything around. A few weeks ago, while walking from my car, across a major road in the rain, to get to my friend’s place, I nearly dropped the mahogany case. If I did, goodbye chips! Imagine trying to pick up 500 chips at 6pm on a Saturday night in the middle of an intersection! I couldn’t wait for the new case to arrive. It’s called “The Viper” and I purchased it from jackspoker.com.au

It’s a 1000 chip case that is essentially, a high quality laptop style case. It zips open to reveal a removable tray that has cutouts for a dealer button and two decks of cards. 25 chips fit snuggly in each moulded thingy (technical term).

The only thing that stops it from being perfect is that I love my Copag and KEM cards but obviously can’t fit the plastic double deck container they come in. I put the cards directly into the cutouts and even with the case closed, they will move around, so the first 10 or so cards from each deck will mix and shift around in there. I ended up using the paper cases from some Bicycle cards I had. Problem solved!

Can you post a link and price for this case...?

Regarding KEMs. It's possible to by some single deck conteiners for KEMs. I have seen some KEMs Arrow sold as a single deck on eBay.

I have seen pics on the page and have somo doubts about it.
I admit loks good from outside but:
- plastic trays have a tendency to crack and break
- can not see any kind of foam filling that would hold chips and prevent them from sliding off the treys,
- as above I can see potencial problem with cards storage.

Possibly the best is to ask for review. Let us know how it works.

By the way... Go and check prices of cards on this Jack's web store. From 37.9 for set of Copags to 54.9 for KEMs. 19.9 for single deck of Bicycle Prestige

I've had this case for almost a year and have not had a single issue with it.

Carrying a 1000 chips. This amount of chips is a good bit of weight, but this case feels lighter than single row cases.
Basically, it weight is better distributed. Plus, this one has a shoulder strap....which I like.

All my playable sets are Chipco. Each slot holds 25 chips. They are snug and do not move around. Since the chip rows are molded on top and bottom, the chips are well secured during transit. The molding is not a cheap plastic and I have no reason to believe it will fall apart or crack easily.

I would say the only thing I could call a drawback is the dealer button slot. It will not hold a large button, however, this is not a big issue for me.

Ok.. So it's good quality. Thank you

I can confirm that the bags quality is extremely good. It seems to last forever.

Referring to the width of the slots: my B&G chips (Europa Casinos) seem to be a bit to wide. Only 24 will fit into one space.
UPDATE: With some pressure there will fit 25 in one slot. Don't know if it's because they got stretched after some time.

43mm chips don't fit. But if you insert them diagonally you can insert 20 of them in one slot. Doesn't look very nice but it works.
The purple and pink B&G chips are 43 mm.

I had two of these bad boys turn up in the mail :D

As has been mentioned, pretty frustrating that each slot holds a tilting 24 chips, but I was able to push most of my different types of chips in tightly to fit 25, just took a little wiggle and push action.

Is the Jacks company normally kind of slow with responding to messages? I had sent them an email + message on facebook with an inquiry but they only got back to me after a week went by. I was a little sketched out of making a purchase from them after that long a period, especially since other businesses have responded to me pretty quickly in comparison.

I did not communicate with them prior to both of my purchases, so I cannot speak to that.

I did not have any issues with ordering from them.

Thanks for the heads up and feedback on these cases! Can anyone tell me what the top (hidden) half of the lid "foam" looks like? I'm wondering if it would be possible to make some cut outs to accommodate some additional items (e.g. 2 more decks of cards or dice or larger dealer button, etc) in the yellow oval area? Thanks.

(or maybe does that hidden side have a large cutout area already that can fit some stuff?)
(OR OR, how thick is the top lid "foam" compared to the middle section - where the cards and dealer buttons are kept - could you replace the top lid foam with an upside down middle section or a cut down, made half as thick, upside down middle section?)

I've emailed them before with an enquiry on chips and never got a reply ever, strange business model.

I just ordered these through their site and they came quickly. So seems their systems are set up well, but not much of a customer service operation...

Love these cases...here's my cards mold set in one, and I've got another sitting ready for my CPC customs on the way

Ok, so I ended up buying one from Alibaba - IIRC, was $65 shipped to LA (buying a single sample item).

To partially answer the questions in my other post:

Top inner lid is hot glued to the outside case and has a piece of white foam for support:

There is a hollowed area under the foam:

Where I/you can put some stuff:

I don't think I'll be able to clean up all the glue residue but I'm willing to live with it for a little more storage space (closes and zippers up just fine)...

So clever, that makes it nearly perfect!
Do you have a link? Or maybe just what your search terms were? I can't find this (might just be user error.)

Do the chips in the top row stay snug when opening and closing the case? My main concern would be the chips coming loose as you move around with the case.

I haven't experienced any of them coming loose, they are sandwiched like a clam shell top and bottom.

not sure if anyone has got back to you but 43mm do fit and close nicely in the top layer as the roof of the case is foam

Can anybody resolve this discrepancy?
I’d like to load a case with a set that’s mostly 43mms. Can this handle it? Do they have to be crooked?

Small gap there with the 43's....to be expected but they will snug down with no effort,

They fit quite nicely, had no problem with 39mm moving around when travelling so the big dogs will be happy in there.

50 a row, as op mentioned nice bulletproof case well made...would've been perfect if only they had made it for 600 chippies.
