Am I just a full retard or is this busted?

I can’t open the legs. Both of them come out this far and then something is stopping them. I’ve pulled hard - very hard - and they won’t open. Are these just not like standard folding legs?

I moved this table cross country as is, it was well protected and didn’t appear damaged but this is first time trying to set it up since I moved.

I didn’t install them. It came from Gorilla this way and they set it up in my basement at the old house. This is the first time the legs have been folded.

Sure but the legs won’t be connected to the center bar anymore:

Here’s my other table that I was able to fold the legs out no problem.

I would loosen it, open the legs, tighten it.

That was what I was thinking too… it supposedly allows you to lock the table in a closed or open position according to the feedback in @T_Chan ‘s thread

Definitely not how I'd expect to have to do it every time... But it would get the legs open...

It’s not sticky like that. Something is stopping it hard.

I pulled has hard as I can, it’s not brute force.

I see nothing else that would 'stop' movement in the assembly other than that screw - does the black bolt, not also attach the 'cross-connect'?

it would have to be fully removed to open the legs, but that's weird if you didn't put it in to stop the legs opening when moving.

@bergs Are you pulling on this joint or on the end of the legs

If the end of legs, try moving this joint instead to start it

Don't remove that bolt. If there's 2 bolts , then yes it is bolted in the lock position. Otherwise it's just jammed

You have to push down the part with the bolt towards the table, then pull the legs out. If that part is too far out, then it gets jammed.
