Looking at doing some reading, so what better way then to make it a poker book. Anyone got any good recommendations? A poker players documentary would be pretty cool but I’m also looking into getting a poker strategy book. Have you read something that was beneficial to your game?

I posted a similar question a year or so ago and depending on what you are looking to read about (mine was NLHE and Omaha), this is what I came up with. If buying off amazon, look at used prices.

Wow thanks! To clarify, it’s for NLH.

Positively fifth street. A journalist/recreational poker player goes to the WSOP in the 80s I believe and tells the story of Poker.

I love reading poker books. But honestly most are out dated. The concepts etc are well known and if you play like that now you will be run over quickly

Anyone read 'Deal Me In'? Seems like it's worth a read.

No Limit Hold'em Theory and Practice -David Sklanksy & Ed Miller- Boring math and do/do not situations but very equitable.
The Tao of Poker-Larry Phillips. Real fun book to read. Very Short and motivating with a philosophical approach to the game.
Harrington on Hold'em is a classic as well.
