People call it a scramble in NA.

Hot take, but it should be:
- Scramble is where everyone plays their own ball and the best score is recorded (everyone is scrambling to score)
- Best Ball is where everyone tees off and then they choose the best ball to play...

It only makes sense, especially to newbies who confuse the two.

To be clear, Best Ball (in Canada at least), is where everyone plays their own ball and then they take the lowest score of the four people. A scramble (again in Canada) is where everyone shoots, chooses 1 ball, then everyone shoots again from that ball and then repeats.

But as I said above, if I controlled golf, it would be the opposite lol. As seen by this conversation, even to seasoned golfers the names cause confusion ha

I did! And it was a pleasure. Always have a repair tool in my pocket when I play.

True story - I used to play golf at a now closed course in Rockville, MD named Redgate. The starter asked every player to show him their divot repair tool before he’d let you enter the first tee box. Every round. What a great and simple step to try to keep greens nice. I’ve mentioned it to other starters over the years. Always a laugh or blank stare. Sadly, none have followed suit.

I have one called the “Shrivot”, that I got back in the 80s, and I knew the guy that patented and sold them.
It attaches to the putter shaft easily, sliding it off when needed. It was a cool idea, just never seemed to catch on.

I needed to upgrade my old carry bag. You know I can’t have a Cobra bag when I’m no longer playing Cobra clubs. All reviews pointed me towards Vessel but that price plus shipping would mean I needed to spend a quite lot more than one should spend on a golf bag

it arrives tomorrow 😎 Because I like pretty things

Great taste! I picked up the xpac version last year and love it. I had them add an embroidered front pocket while I was already buying an expensive bag and then of course had to upgrade my head covers to Dormies to all fit in theme. My logo is a riff of the Ferrari logo with my initials and headcovers are Motorsport themed. I might be shanking my drives into the pond but at least I’ll look good doing it!!

Which did you order? Man I spent waaaay too long shopping headcover options and saw a couple swag ones I liked but went with dormies ultimately. I was really attracted to card themes from swag. 3 of my favorite things - golf, poker, motorsports!

I found this Mobil 1 putter cover on eBay to complete my Motorsport themed bag.

I already did own the purple one but I’m waiting for few more 😎

The bag is here and I love it! Did not know that the VAT and customs were included in the price so that was a very happy surprise 😍
