I played RTJ Links course at Auburn, AL yesterday. First time with new cobra driver. One of my favorite courses to play. First round of 2023.

That looks lovely. Almost looks like it’s over here in Scotland.

This seems to be the golf thread that everyone uses

Almost dropped my tee shot in the hole last weekend.....

....on a 60 yard pitch and putt, but that's not important. Still managed 3 consecutive birdies after and including this hole despite putting on these green feeling like playing plinko.

Massanutten Resort, Virginia. Mountain course. The deer don’t care. Tight, short course with a lot of blind shots. Lost 12 balls, most of them on the back 9 and after my 3 beers on an empty stomach

Amazing. That 3rd picture view! Is that a walking course only?
Glasgow sunset time was 9:50 pm today, are the courses open that late? I could get a full round in after work :wtf:
The third picture is the 17th. It’s a 180 yard par 3 where you hit the ball off a cliff. It’s stunning.

Yeah we regularly go for a game after work. There’s two courses at Hilton Park (the Hilton and the Allander) so you don’t struggle to get a tee time.

Can usually get round the Hilton in 3 hours 15 minutes and the Allander in under 3 hours. I think the Hilton is 6200 yards par 70 and the Allander is 5900 yards par 69.

There’s buggy hire but it’s not really a thing in Scotland. Everyone walks. Buggies are how we spot tourists  :ROFLMAO:

Golf is an Everyman thing over here and it’s much cheaper than in the US. My membership is around £900 a year and that gets me year round access to both courses. It costs me £15 to sign a guest on in summer and £10 in winter.

Bad beat city……. I actually tore my left calf muscle walking up a small hill from the range back to the cart…… WTF?!?! Had a lot of trouble with up and down hill lies and was in a lot of pain, especially holes 7-12, until the second round of advil kicked in. Still fired off an 83 not bad for one leg. But I am paying for it now. Hurts like F$&k!! I don’t know what was more stupid, the way I got hurt or still playing.
