Correction, he's askin $3700

That's about 3600 more than I'd be willing to pay! Good grief, it's not like he built it out of $1 coins. They're pennies! So what if they're not used in Canada anymore.

Fun fact: The snow birds we get from Ontario still try to spend their left over pennies in our stores. o_O

I've had my eye on this beauty for a few weeks:

For the low, low price of $800 you can have this wonderful platform for "card gemes like poker."

He described it as a custom one-off order that was cancelled, but you can tell by the other pictures he uploaded that he's been cranking out tables like this.

Special 1978 edition with textured carpet playing surface:

This post is in Milwaukee, so I think this may be the worst case of Packer Fever I've ever seen:

Seriously that's both someone who knows whats he's doing and someone who absolutey DOESN'T know what hes doing at the same time.

While I am obviously a fan of the Phantom's skull mark, me thinks that this 'skull' effort is not going to be a welcome addition in the Skull Cave at $1,000. Maybe the Punisher ....

lol, I saw that one the other day, I believe it's actually in NJ. Assuming they added the "poker" label to get more views, but it's really a board game table. I thought that was a risk map in the center, but it's actually a mounted flat screen TV for loading different games (maybe for D&D?). Given it's true purpose, it's actually not a bad table. There's a very niche market for these kinds of tables, google "geek chic table" to see how crazy detailed they can get.

that makes a LOT more sense.

Carcassonne anyone?

EDIT: actually i think Risk would be pretty good on that table too..

I wish I had a picture of the first one I built. It was a table top that I put together with my awesome carpentry skills and two old pieces of wood I had laying around. While it served its purpose, the hinges were on the wrong side of the two boards I used, so there was a lump in the middle of the bright red felt that I got from Walmart, and the corners were only covered with a metal casing. Just enough to where we wouldn't get hurt if we hit it. The stupid thing weighed 4,000 pounds, I'm exaggerating a little bit, but in reality, it was probably only about 40 pounds. It was awkward. It was ugly. It was fantastic. We played on that table for a couple of years with the crappy 11.5 gram plastic "clay" chips you can buy in the aluminum case and some Orange County Choppers Playing Cards. We thought we were in the WSOP with our $20 buy-ins and zero knowledge of how to actually play. Seems like it was yesterday, but we're talking roughly 15-17 years ago. Great times.

Finally, I get to contribute to this thread - other than snarky comments, that is...

On the plus side, he has it priced reasonably, at $38 (because $40 would be too much to ask).
