I'll be traveling in April and wanted to fly home with a set of chips.

It will be a quick trip so I wasn't planning on checking a bag.

Should I be checking a bag with my poker chips (nothing of value, just basic $.07/chip).

Any advice/experience on best way to travel with chips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I would definitely carry them on. They are going to inspect it at xray, but they have seen it before. I have flown a couple of times with chips and carry on is the way to go. I made the mistake of checking mine once on a flight back from CO and tsa tore apart the lining of my case looking for contraband. At security you might as well pull them out of your bag too because they will want to look inside the case no matter what. My chips were ABS slugged so maybe it was just that they looked like a bomb in the xray…lol.

Always carry on and they (TSA) will always want to see them out of the bag…….I know from experience
