Excited to host tomorrow. I recently bought an 8 person table and 400 Monte Carlo chips. Going to have a $25 buy in with 50c/50c blinds. Probably going to play the 7-2 game, bomb pots and a stand up game. We are having a late start (11pm) due to scheduling issues for most people but will most likely play till 1 or 2am. Will post photo's once we play and let you know how it went!

.25/.50 and .50/.50 are essentially the same. With a $25 buy-in, it's still 50bb. I agree, that's too shallow, but NOOBs gonna NOOB. .25/.25 would play better. or $50 buy-ins.

This ^^^. With only a $25 buy-in, I would suggest doing .25/.25 blinds. That is what my group does. Good luck on the first game and welcome to PCF!

Listen, I totally get it. Probably should have done 25c/50c or some smaller variation. I am just a broke college student who found some fun in poker and didn't want to have to spend the extra money on a bunch of extra chips. Your point definitely had some merit but we had a blast. About to make a tread for it!

As was stated before, next game try .25/.25 blinds with a $25 buy in. Gives everybody more breathing room.

My group play .25/.25 with $25 buy in. But that’s a decent bar tab in my area. it’s still plenty of fun
