F1 in Las Vegas (1 Viewer)

Ok I’m out of this event. Tried to get tickets today and saw a lot of BS. Another member tried 2 days ago with similar BS results.

They tell you sale starts at 10am. Other members discovers 2 days ago there is a pregame lobby that started at 950am. They were too deep in line to get anything.

I log in today well before 950am and find myself in this lobby as well. When the gates open I’m probably at least 20k deep in line. There are updates every 5 minutes telling us how limited the tickets are today. Keep in mind this is the $7.77 presale so ofc when it’s my turn everything is sold out. Go F yourself F1 and Liberty Media.

On a totally unrelated note I booked a week in Vegas next June for the chip show and Danny’s event. Will be looking for people willing to join me on fine dining and track driving experiences then. Cheers.

I know this is an artist's rendering, but if it is even remotely accurate...

anyone that thinks they are going to get a strip-view room and watch practices, time trials, or the race from the comfort of their room may find they spent a lot of money to see the back or the grandstands.

People are still looking for appropriate gifs…10k wowser
I could invite you for Spa Francorchamps so you can see a real race….
My dream track and race. Can you secure our tickets? You know I’m not kidding. Holland and Belgium are so nice at the end of July. I could travel onwards to SE Asia after as that is already on the schedule. Need some VIP access in SPA.

See you in 33 days bro!

I'll be there watching it. I don't believe it will be directly in the grand stands, but I'll be able to see the start/finish line and the straight coming down Koval. Basically where turn 14 is going to be. I'm so hyped. It's like a dream come true!

Cuz not too many of us are spending 10k on a weekend. Lol. I've been to long Beach a handful of times. It's awesome. But I can touch those ticket prices with a ten foot pole.
Don’t get me wrong. The prices are insane. But I figure there are Las Vegas residents here (besides Oscar), others who got a $500 GA pass, and still others who are planning to split an Excalibur room 4 or more ways. The gambling action has to be insane this weekend right? I’m going to be parked at Aria or Bellagio. One hand pays for the whole trip. And I am planning on selling my other Bellagio grandstand ticket and potentially splitting my 2 Queen room.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I'm not hating on your baller status. Live it up! F1 weekend more my speed is to crash on my friends couch and sneak into a practice session. Haha. I'll be there for sure. Looking forward to it.

This isn’t going to Spa this year but you should go when they’re there if you haven’t already. They’re not coming to Sonoma or Laguna either :(
Spa is a go on 28 -30 July ;)

It’s crazy. Tried for $7.77 presale and regular presale and regular release and never got close to getting tickets. I know and understand that Vegas jacks everything up for big events but this is crazy.

My 22 year old son asked for me and him to go to the race for his Christmas present this year. Crap.

If I can get tickets we may have to camp at Zion. LOL.

This can be your view for $120/lap in Vegas. Can’t say it was an enjoyable experience for me personally.

Better experience from outside.

They say the Huracan Super Trofeo R (now available) is even rougher than the 488 Challenge Evo. Formula cars must be an actual nightmare for anyone with an amygdala.

Details? I've toyed with the idea multiple times. It's even been on the early agenda, only to get bumped as planning continues and something needs to be cut.

I can look at pretty cars nearly any time. Driving them at the speeds they were made to go is far more interesting. But if there is a "no-fun" clause that isn't advertised, I wanna know!

Not like that at all. They want you to have as much fun as possible (tips). Their entire fleet has historically been all road legal. The Challenge Evo and Super Trofeo R are not. Track only so they’re rough. 4 point harness. Fixed windows. The 488 doesn’t have traction control or other driver assists (side slip differential, torque vectoring, etc) and before you drive it they need to warm up the tires... It takes a few laps in any car to even learn the course so I do recommend picking a cheaper, gentler car to start with like the NSX. I’ve driven most of their fleet over the last 10 years. Their old track near Las Vegas Speedway was better imo.

I’ll be going back for the Huracan STO and Super Trofeo R next June/November.

What we need to do is track days at Nürburgring Nordschleife. I was looking a few years ago. I think 2000 euros might be enough. Not interested in some USA track unless it is Sonoma, COTA, Indy Road…that level. @Thomacetti

edit: at the time I think the deductible in a wreck was 10K

Word, you first do a few ring taxi‘s to get to know the track and then blast it with whatever your budget allows.
A day at the Nordschleife is awsome, just spotting cars there is INSANE

What does 2000 euro get you? What car? Seems too high for just admission with your own vehicle. Instructor? I just know there’s one turn where all the youtubers set up their cameras to catch people wiping out  :ROFLMAO:
