After finding a great thread started by @Quad Johnson (https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...ut-a-cash-game-chip-set-5c-10c-to-5-10.30897/), and reading @Nex's great breakdown of what a mixed stakes chipset could look like I have started focusing on a mixed stakes set with my next chipset. I was hoping some of you more experienced hosts could help with my line of thinking on the topic.

I have a list of about 35 players who had at one time this summer expressed interest in playing poker (cash or tourneys). So I started out with a tourney set and a cash set that is great for NL50 and can be stretched to 15 buyins of 100BBs at NL100 (200 fracs/200 of $1/200 of $5/75 of $20)

Looking at my list of 35 I know that I can maybe get 5-6 to play NL200, 15 or so to play NL100 and 35 to play NL50 (if other plans never got in the way of poker). I would never spread more than 2 tables of 8.

With the numbers so heavily leaning toward NL50 I was thinking of a breakdown that looked something like this (20BI at NL50, 20BI NL100, 10BI NL200:

$0.25200
$1450
$5300
$25100
$10025

Feedback is appreciated.

For one table, my go to is
25¢ x 100
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$20x 100
Not only does it cover 25¢/50¢ and $1/$2 games, it also just looks nice in the racks. I hate when racks are mixed.

Sorry, after 3.5 years here and over 8K posts, I've not come across that terminology before. By NL50 (or 50NL) are you referring to a $50 buy-in? Or 50 cent big blinds? Or something else?

In my opinion and experience, if you're possibly spreading two tables, you should have twice that number of $5s. At one of my games, we easily get 3 racks in play in a splashy 25c/50c single table game. And if your bigger games get more popular, you may want another rack of $25s and another barrel or two of $100s. Not sure if you're going custom, or casino chips, but always better to have a few extra than to push the limits of your bank.

should be this yes, it's more of an online 'zoom' term than a term used for live games

Yup. Thats how stakes have been labeled online since I started playing online in the mid-00s. So 50NL is .25/.50.

Yea it will be a custom set. I don’t know how splashy this group can be but I reached out to the guys who played this weekend and it sounds like they are more comfortable dropping 3-4 $50 buyins than 1-2 $100. Even though it’s the same amount they feel like the smaller game allows for more play time.

25c x 200
$1 x 400
$5 x 400
$25 x 100
$100 x 100

These breakdowns should work for your mentioned requirement, it enough to cover 2 table up to NL100 and 1 table at NL200.

I will always prepare breakdown for 10 person (1 table) even if you only regularly have 5-6 interested
