Here's hoping @AK Chip (among others) will be able to answer this question...

I'm thinking about creating a cash set and, for design reasons, I'm thinking about using bright white as the base color for one of the more common denominations. I know, on the website, CPC mentions that bright white has contamination issues during production and that they charge a premium for these chips; however, I'm curious how these chips hold their color once they have been manufactured and put into play.

For those PCFers out there with Bright White chips, how have your bright white chips held up after normal use and storage? Do they remain the brilliant white, or have they dulled and/or picked up some additional color from rubbing against other chips?

Great question. I've wondered this myself.

Interesting question. Although I do not have an answer, I am excited to know what the answer is since I’m planning my own custom set :)

Mine are 6-7 years old. I only have a barrel, and they don’t see much felt time. I will say, they are still just a bright as the day I got them.

IMO the hefty premium charged is not worth the price so I always went with other options. Having said that I do have a chip with the non-premium bright white edge spots. Granted I'm not running a casino but those spots seem to be holding up fine against a half barrel of the same chips that has never seen play.

Not sure why the non-premium bright white is not available for body colors. I would also be willing to pay a dayglo like premium with the understanding that full purity can't be guaranteed. Compared to the white of HS CLE $1 chips the normal CPC white leaves a bit to be desired.

Sorry to say I cant help you. I sold my first set that had a bright White chip and the new hot stamp set won't see the felt for another 2 weeks.
