Fiancee: "Yes of course. Where in Alaska? Are you sending me with someone else?"

M: "Anchorage. A guy is brainstorming a poker meet up in 2019"

F: "Jesus. Ok. At least I get to go to Alaska. You would never go otherwise."

M: "I would go without the poker you know"

F: "You'd dream up 50 other places to go instead".

My fiancee loves hiking and the national parks so this is the first conversation in the right direction lol

Have her look up Crow Pass, Flat Top, Girdwood, Chugach State Park, Arctic Valley. All basically 45 minutes or less away.

I did get a bit carried away yesterday. I will figure out a name in private and create the official meet up post with list of players and dates. It is a long way out but my thinking is for some or most making a big commitment like this will take some planning.

I will say my curiosity is at least piqued. @Mrs Poker Zombie grew up in Anchorage, so this might give me the chance to figure out how Alaskans think ('cause I haven't gotten her figured out yet) :coffee:

If you haven't figured me out after 20 years, I'm pretty sure a trip to Alaska won't actually help.

But, two thoughts.

One: a pessimist thinks the glass is half empty, an optimist thinks the glass is half full, and an Alaskan orders another round.
