In Progress (ordering closed) Custom Cut Card Group Buy - Jan 2025 (26 Viewers)

Oscar,

Take care of your family. Its just cut cards. Appreciate you running this huge thing that nobody wants to do, and for fixing so many files submitted incorrectly. You did not need to correct formatting errors, that's on some lf us, apparently not that few of us. Last time printer fixed things but said next time they would charge a fee, that's how it should be. Not your responsibility to cover. No doubt many submitted good files and expected smooth sailing, but that's not how things like this go. Those who think they can do it better can run their own show.

Best,

R

That’s what I’m doing with the next one.

X amount of cards
X amount of designs
I would almost recommend giving everyone the specs required for everything then, If they mess up the specs, charge a flat fee of to adjust the file x however many designs that need to be fixed.

Shouldn't be on your dime / time to fix everybody's mistakes.

I appreciate your efforts Oscar! They'll get here when they get here and until then I'm happy waiting.

I second that.
Do,not allow people to write and correct over and over
give a clear and precise framework and we have to conform to that. Too time consuming for you to try make all mistakes or approximative order correct.

That's the way! But it depends a lot of the manufacturer also - the files that I send to the other company that made my first cutcards wasn't able to convert my .ai file correctly into a printer ready file. That leads to wrong colors - black became a dark grey and so on. Same with two Casino suppliers where I requested a custom felt. Both Abbiati and Matsui had to convert the .ai files into something else so their printers could work properly. And both artwork proofs varied a lot from my file and there has been a lot of back and forth until things were ready to go.

As I said: I can't imagine the brutal effort it takes to run this GB! I defenitely wouldn't have the time... that said: one big "Thank you" has defenitely to go to Oscars wife and kid for sure!

If anyone knows me, I'm the last person to take someone's money and run off with it if that's what anyone is thinking I'm doing. I'm working with the manufacturer to get these delivered as soon as possible. So, please bear with me and let me finish what I need to do with them and I'll get them to you accordingly.
I can only speak for myself, but I do think this applies for all/many of us. This thought has never crossed my mind!

This, I've been trying to get the files worked and figured out and with the pressure that I was feeling. I thought that saying that it was shipped/on the way would relieve some of that pressure, but that wasn't the right thing to do.

I can totally relate to this . I do the same exact thing way too often, and never learn from it. And then it escalates making everything more stressfull. Ref. this:

I feel this way, but I just feel pressured anytime someone starts asking where things are, this and that, checking to see if I've looked at the thread and so on.

Its honestly incredible that you still have energy and willingness even consider running future GB while still working on this for so long time. Kudos to you for that!

Keep future updates honest and without any hard commitments to us, and we should show patience towards you :) It is "only" cut cards, I am in no immediate rush to receive these.
