Hello everyone,

My name is Max, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and provide an update regarding our current progress.

My wife and I both work at CPC, and we recently moved from Maine to Washington to continue our work here. My wife has been with CPC for over twenty years, and through her—and many of the long-time CPC crew back in Maine—I’ve learned a great deal about the work, the process, and the community around it. I’m very grateful for the knowledge and support that has been shared along the way.

First, I want to apologize for the delay in updates. A significant amount of repair, replacement, and infrastructure work has been happening behind the scenes, and we’ve been focused on getting everything properly set up.

At the moment, we have the boiler and chiller in place, and the mill and machines are in place, however we are waiting on the steam connection. We’ve also been working on updating and repairing equipment, including new plumbing and electrical work, to make sure everything is safe and operating correctly before production begins.

The current timeline is unfortunately not entirely in our control. We are currently waiting on landlord approvals, which typically take 24–48 hours once submitted. After that approval, the plumbing work will take approximately 2–3 weeks to complete. Once that stage is finished, we should be able to move toward becoming operational.

Because of these circumstances, we are not currently taking any new orders. Our priority will be completing existing orders first, and once we are fully up and running, we will announce when we are able to begin accepting new orders again.

Much of the delay has come down to boiler installation requirements, permits, and landlord approvals, which unfortunately affects the timeline more than we would like. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience while these steps are completed.

We’re looking forward to getting everything running as soon as possible, and we’re excited to move forward once the remaining work is finished.

I’ll also be sharing photos showing the progress of the setup and improvements, so everyone can see how things are coming along.

Thank you again for your patience and support—we truly appreciate it.

Yours truly,

Classic_Giraffe
Well that is one hell of a first post!

Loving that CPC i using the time for improvements and not just sitting around waiting for permit. I must assume that all replacements and improvements will hopefully result in faster or better processes.

BTW since we have you here we need a new yellow preferably something very bright like a cartoon giraffe color. 😉

Whelp, that was fun while it lasted. I'll see y'all when the cycle restarts!

1. Two months of doldrums, dead PCF.
2. Someone doesn't put the hobby and hobbyists as their top priority, chaos ensues.
3. Doublebooyah has an extreme take on one side (incorrectly) while Barrie takes the extreme take on the other side (but also incorrectly). Everyone who is not remotely affected chimes in, burying the comments from the 2 people actually affected.
4. The seven active members at Chipper take a break from complaining about everything else to complain about how this wouldn't have happened if they were in charge of all things chipping.
5. The chaos subsides.
6. Start at step 1 again.

I love secret handshake society’s…..
i love that was your 19th post in 11 years. You must have the self discipline of a shaolin monk.

@BarrieJ3 will write 19 essays in 11 minutes in a single thread.

Also, I thought 2026 was the year of the fire horse. I guess its going to be the year of the @Classic_Giraffe instead

I’m doing the lords work. The trolls here aren’t even entertaining. The last meetup a table texted the host it was too loud while they sat at a corner table looking like their dog died for 3 days straight.

Just here trying to throw some dogs a bone in down time.

I left for awhile. Kids and life. I went to Maine for Jim Blanchard’s retirement I believe it was. Love the custom chip life. Everyone needs to breathe deep and relax. Yes people lay out a lot of money for chips but ASM/CPC is an uber niche custom slot. If people don’t t like the process don’t order…..

I haven't seen anyone express an issue with the usual process. The changes in ownership, factory, and staff many months into the usual process are an extenuating circumstance that aren't unreasonable for people to discuss.

There are no trolls here….

Discuss away….

But have you ever run a physical business? Actually physically created anything tangible? Than the next person comes in a moves all of the equipment across the country. People complain when they have to move a buddy across town to another apartment where the heaviest object is 250lbs…..

OMG, some hilarious lines from @davislane and others.

Take this to the bank, some of the biggest pissers and moaners in this thread will, in two years time, be thumping their chests about the CPC sets they’ve ordered or have just received.

All of the small businesses I’ve dealt with on here have had broke-dick moments. The only time projects proceeded with a “professional” timeline and communication was group buys from big companies like Matsui, Abiatti, etc.

I appreciate all of you who are cancelling. Means I’ll get my add-on order sooner.

Hi Guys,

If you all thought it couldn’t get any worse. I have successfully reached a deal to purchase CPC and will take over operations, effective immediately.

I am the market 😈
