Looking for some ideas on new chairs for the poker room. Comfortable, good back support, and an essential requirement is that it has to accommodate getting a massage at the table as well.

Gasser chairs is you can find that at a decent price.

There was a link posted recently for someone that had a few hundred of them for sale.

Gasser or banquet chairs work well.
You might check office supply places for adjustable side chairs also.
You last requirement just makes me want to play at your place.....

that last requirement is the most important variable actually. Easy to find great chairs, but most can't be reversed for a comfortable 2-hour massage (y):D

Two hours??? If you want a two hour massage, go get a proper massage!

everything has its proper time and place  ... we sometimes have 2-3 massage girls for our single table cash game...and frequently players get 2-3 hour massages  ... not sure who makes more money, more consistently anymore: the massage girls, dealers, or ???

A padded Hercules folder would work well, but it sounds like kk405 wants something a little higher end...

I suspect most gassers and banquet chairs generally have backs that are too high for a massage. (They turn the chair around with the back up against the poker table, add a pillow, and the player straddles the chair while getting the back massage.) I don't know if anything in the gasser lineup will work really well.

EDIT: they have a big line of chairs. How about: http://www.gasserchair.com/tabid/631/MainCategory/1/Category/16/ProductID/1412/default.aspx

Or perhaps something from their "Poker Seating" lineup:

The prices might get obscene if you order new Gassers from a vendor. Most people here on the forums are picking them up, used, when a bingo hall or church close down, etc.

Gasser are top notch. Prices are not listed on their site. You have to select a model with options and they send you a quote. In December I got a quote for ten KL-9000 chairs delivered to Michigan. They are in Ohio. So after shipping and taxes, the total was $2,657.

Gasser does have cheaper options, but new you aren't going to do much better than $200 a chair. You might be able to find some used.

As @big rat said, bizchair.com is a great cheap option. I got ten church style chairs for like $400 delivered a few months back. Everyone loves them.

I bought these MLP Seating flex back chairs for $185 each. You can customize them any way you want. I went with black vinyl for easy cleaning.

Very comfortable. Worth every penny IMO.

Lots of casinos use gassers, and lots of these same casinos offer massages. It's basically the nutz.

Yes, combination of comfort and low back support to accommodate massages. :)

I think I need an invite to this game! :whistling:

A few of us here in the Bay Area are picking up a truckload of Gasser chairs from a seller out of Reno. We're getting them for $25 each. You might be able to contact the seller and get some of them shipped for a couple hundred extra bucks? Worth a shot. They're nice looking chairs.

Thanks, but I am looking for a more high-end version :p

Picked up 23 of these handsome beasts for next to nothing. They are Gasser se8800 chairs. Anyone in the Tri cities or willing to drive down this way can get some too. If you can look past this fantastic pattern. Guy is advertising 10 for $30 Canadian! You can't even rent them for cheaper.

I picked up 20 Gasser chairs when Joe Cada closed up his poker room in Detroit. Very comfortable chairs if you're patient and find some good used ones.
