Gasser Chairs - Vinyl or Cloth? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for some input from those of you with Gasser chairs, or anyone who's sat in one. I'm probably going to make a trip down to the Gasser outlet in Ohio to grab some chairs for my game, but I'm torn on the decision between vinyl or cloth seats. Do you guys have any preference either way? Do you currently have cloth and wish you had vinyl, or vice-versa? My thoughts are that cloth will be more comfortable, but vinyl easier to keep clean. I'm currently leaning towards vinyl just because of the colours that are available right now, but they have some good looking cloth ones as well.

Also, if anyone in Southern Ontario would like to get some Gassers as well, I can grab some more when I'm down there.

Vinyl is much easier to clean. Go with that if you have the choice.

I would think vinyl for cleaning purposes but cloth for seating comfort. Mine have cloth backs and vinyl seats.

Vinyl gets my vote. Super durable, very easy to keep clean and never once have sat in them and wished they were cloth or needed to be more comfortable

Just made the trip down from the great white north and picked up 10 of these chairs. They’re in pretty great shape, after a quick clean they’ll be ready for action. The guy was awesome to deal with too. Sounds like he has a bunch more of this batch. At $15 they’re a steal, and not too far from Detroit. He has a used furniture liquidation business and mentioned that he gets Gassers in pretty often.

Got them set up in the room. I put some felt on the bottoms, as they were just metal and I didn't want to ruin my floor. It seems like they may have been stacked for quite a while, I'm hoping that the indents eventually come out of the foam. Very happy with these for the price. Now I just need to get a game together!

I obviously didn't end up going because I grabbed those other chairs, but it sounds like @doublebooyah85 might have a bit more knowledge. Looking at the marketplace posts, it seems like she has a few nice looking options available now.

Thanks for this - I searched the internet, but I tend to stay off of Facebook, so I never saw this.

I have a friend that is in that area frequently, so I may look into this - I'm sure I can find some excuse that justifies me needing to accompany him to that area in the near future. If anyone has more information beforehand, I'd really appreciate it. Considering the banquet chairs for now, but bar stools and other options aren't out of the question if the prices are good!
