A handful of my regulars are headed to Wendover, NV this weekend to play in a weekly tournament. We have 5 or 6 guys coming, with varying levels of gambling interest. We'll be playing in the $250 weekly, that may last until dinner time or so. After the tournament, we'll be turning to table games and slots. With the various levels of interest in gambling, I thought a casino crawl would be a fun idea. Below are my thoughts on strategy to hit the 5 casinos in town.

Goals:
1. Play one table and one slot at every casino. Different table game & slot at each.
2. Get at least one drink at every casino.
3. Remember to acquire and keep a single $1 at every casino.

Bankroll management
1. Buy in with any value you want.
2. Double your buy-in, go broke, or 15 minutes - move to next game/casino.

What do you guys think of this plan? Any other ideas to try to hold the interest of the entire group?

Never been to wendover is this like Fremont st where every casino is like next door to each other?

Or is there a decent amount of walking involved

Or even Ubers required

No ubers required. Not exactly like Fremont, but 3 are less than a 5 min walk from each other and the other 2 are maybe a 10 minute walk.

Was thinking about making the slot play a group pull kinda thing. Everyone kick in $20 and we spin through $100. Thoughts?

I would think that a simple time limit would keep the group together better. If Joe busts on the first hand, and Jim is chasing a double up, I could see different members of the group wanting to stay or leave at different times.

Downing a drink every 15 minutes might work for the first few casinos, but I've seen the results of group pressure to drink fast and frequently, and it ain't pretty... (YMMV)

Downing a drink every 15 minutes might work for the first few casinos, but I've seen the results of group pressure to drink fast and frequently, and it ain't pretty... (YMMV)

With the time between casinos and slot play or a group slot pull, drinks would be more like every 30-45 minutes. However, maybe I take that one of the list anyway.

That's usually what I tell my wife we did, after I get back from the casino.

She knows not to ask "how'd you do?" And instead asks, "did you have fun?"
