Cash Game Buyin amounts (1 Viewer)

I keep my min buy-in between 60-80bb and the max at 200-250bb depending on the stakes. I like to push people toward playing deeper.

Though we also do mixed game nights. And if it's exclusively limit, then buy-in doesn't matter.

My $0.50-$0.50 game is $100 buy-in (200BBs) for NL/PL. I don't think I've every had someone ask to buy in for the minimum but I'd probably say $40.
Exactly the same stakes as my game, usually everyone is in for $100, but some do 50-75 also...
We also have $5 for the high hand which some fool forgets so they get only $95 of chips!

In a NL (or PL) I like to have :
Min buyin = 20 x BB
Max buyin = 100 x BB

Just like on most Poker Room online in fact.

I host a laid back game at my place with a bunch of friends every month, but truthfully most of them are a bunch of nits. We usually play .10/20 with a $10 minimum and a $20 maximum initial buy in, so that's 50-100 big blinds.

I went to the nittiest game East of the Mississippi a few years ago where the blinds were .25/.50 and everyone was buying in for around $10-$15..... Dice chips 5 different colors and all worth a quarter! I bought in for $30 and was dealt some very bent up shitty cards.... the table was the saving grace, had drink holders and a race track, felt was in ok shape. The first good hand I raised $3 after the flop and was met with dagger eyes by all of the limping donkeys at the table and was informed that the "Hard Rock Casino is down the street". I left after 4 hours or so with nearly a $50 profit which was huge for that game. Never went back.

Cripes. How many times were people re-buying? Crazy that people are buying in for 20-30 big blinds. Why are they playing with blinds that high if they're going to get nitty about what's probably a pot size raise (assuming there are at least 6 players at the table in this scenario)?

Thought my game was nitty with .10/20 and $10 buy in...

100-300bb for quarter game

5-10 EUR/player for highest hand & 5-10 EUR/player for the host
We play a 'crazy game' at the end (all change below 5 EUR) for easy payout
