Got my samples coming from BR shortly first I seen/heard of the centering issue might be a bit of a dealer breaker for me?
One question I have regarding this how many of the chips are noticeably off center?
I have had the same concerns.
I just got some samples of my custom chips as as well. I would say about 5/8 are off center enough that you can see it if you look close and 3/8 are more obviously off center.
That said, how noticable it is seems to depend a lot on the design. In these card wars samples, the white chip is way more noticably off center than the red chip because there is a solid line near the edge on the white chip and the red chip just has points so it's harder to establish a reference.
The same goes with my custom samples. My white/grey chip is just as off center as the other ones but ut doesn't have the ring around it and had more solid color space between the edges so it being a little off center isn't as easy to see.
I am new to this, but my thinking is more solid colors towards the edges are much better for the ceramics for this reason.
I'm working on new versions and am asking the designer to remove both outside rings and just have a solid color background.
I think with this change the off-center still is a little disappointing, but it probably won't stop the actual purchase.
Also, just for reference, the white card wars chip, which is one of the most noticeable, is about .6mm off center to the best of my measuring ability.
