What is your favorite size to play with? Best bridge options besides Copag or KEM?

I am looking to get a set of bridge cards. I have always played with poker (including at the local card room I frequent), however one of my buddies picked up a set and said he will never go back. I understand this is somewhat of a "newbie" question so my apologies but any advice is much appreciated!

Bridge. We play a lot of dealers choice games. That means most of the games that we are playing have 5 or more cards in the mitt. Bridge are simply more efficient.
 
I usually play with the poker/jumbo cards. But the faces of the bridge/standard are so more refined looking. Maybe it’s because there’s less white space around the pips and the :kh::qs::jc: images are larger. I own and use both types with both pip sizes. I feel it provides variety. But for me, it’s the feel of the cards when I shuffle that determines what I buy and not the size.

All things being equal, it doesn’t really matter.
Most casinos and poker rooms use bridge, probably because they’re easier on a dealer’s hands, after hours and hours. So I think that’s why I prefer bridge - they’re standard.
But who cares.
 
In house game played on felt- standard Bee,
Playing on pub table or anywhere else- plastic Copag; better longevity.
 
Bridge jumbo or blackjack index.

Went exclusively poker size since it works best with my shuffle tech but have switched back to bridge now that I changed shufflers.

If hand shuffling, bridge size, no question.
 
Depends on hand size (the one on the end of your wrist, not the value of the cards), and also on the number of cards in use per hand (not the one on the end of your wrist).

I have pretty large meat hooks, and I find shuffling Bridge size a pain. I know others with smaller hands, and they find shuffling Poker size difficult.

For being able to see the cards in your hand, in 2 card stud type games (NLHE, etc) I think that Poker is better (IMO). For 5 card draw games (2 Card Draw, etc), Bridge works better (IMO).

It will happen, we already got that 3rd choice in indexes: Standard, Jumbo & now Blackjack (yeah before it gets said, nobody cares about Magnum).
 
Bridge only if I'm dealing.

One significant downside to Bridge in my experience is the fact that they tend to bow more easily than poker sized cards.

Less material = cheaper
