Jim told the story of these chips in an earlier post....

The actual secondary unused chips were brought out after majestic star reopened after their COVID shutdown. They were out in play as new primaries.
The old chips that were sold in this sale were moved to "secondary" status.

Then the casino closed. The state commission said that the casino had to destroy the primary chips in play (the new ones) or they could be sold if the casino put them under surveillance storage until such time that the mandatory redemption period expired.

The casino ran out of money, the surveillance shut down, the state gaming commission stepped in. All those new chips in play for only moths.... destroyed. A tragedy.

But the originals were still left, they could be sold. And we got this sale.

Everyone lived "meh" ever after.

Thanks for the info. Considering I never even thought about being able to own casino chips before I joined this community I'm pretty blown away, even as odd as this particular situation is. I've learned so much in such a short time and am using this as an example to my younger co workers on the importance of joining a community.

So it was you.....lol I had the exact breakdown in my cart and after getting a NCV low limit set i attempted to buy this breakdown but the 5k's were no longer avail. I am glad to see a local Canadian was able to pick these up., perhaps my chips will be arriving today as well. Would love a chance to give them a whirl sometime.

I am glad to see a local Canadian was able to pick these up., perhaps my chips will be arriving today as well. Would love a change to give them a whirl sometime.

Lol If I were you I would’ve went for the cash first but then again depends are what your most wanted was, these sales it’s usually one or the other, if you snag both, you are lucky, that’s happened to me before in the past and lost out.

From shipping experience, here and Toronto(North york) Toronto takes about a day or 2 longer because more mail to haul and process, I noticed up here once processed in Mississauga it’s here next day, usually if scanned in the day.

Thanks, one rack a day, jewellers bit on Dremel and Versa Dremel for rack marks. I enjoy it.

I bought in store but I’m sure you can find at Lowe’s or Amazon in US, if you get the kit, do not use the steel one, use the plastic head(obv), it also comes with a surface head too. You can find them separately just the cleaning heads, look up dremel or rotary/oscillating cleaning bits

Thanks, I got lucky, it was all or nothing… well I would’ve bought anyways. Yes lol eagle eye Staggs, rack and a half I got near mint to VVG, my $1000’s have only 3 chips with very small fleas with one a slight grind on edge but looks ok and $5000’s all near mint to VVG except one had big flea but I ordered 1 of each extra which made no point for smaller denoms as they came with more than 100 except 500’s. 500’s had only 4 discoloured chips.

Partially yes but whenever I send overseas in normal circumstances it takes about two-three weeks tops, usps is faster and I obviously can’t use usps but I do know their shipping times, international shipping says longer to cover their buts in case. Original posts are general times stated by postal service and also depends on service you purchased.

You gotta use low speed and right bit, high speed you can too but make sure it’s still wet, like anything, practice and use right stuff for the job.

This was cleaned with a dremel jeweller bit and oxy/oxi presoak, most times you can use just a brush and hand scrub it but older chips and lots of chips, I don’t have time to scrub, plus using dremel and loupe in my eye makes it feel professional. I do love chips.

These, bristle brush, NOT steel. Anyways, be easy, massage it, caress it, make love to the chip.

Yes, one is leaded 47%(red) and one is leaded 6.5%(black).

$5000 has one inlay.
