I hate to go against what's in my heart but the $1's and $5's of the Vesper Club is hardcore great. I seriously want a barrel of each.

I always disliked hot stamps because they always looked cheap to me. Maybe it's because the first chip set I ever played was a really crappy set called Desert Palace and as soon as I got into mid-grades and ABC ceramics, I totally lost it with them but I legit love the Vesper Club. I voted for them.

That's a very tough vote. Both sets are so great and I'd love to play a game with each of them.

Vesper's : I like the old school logo, the denomination font, the fact that the denom is on one side and the logo on the other one (so classic), the color choice and the spots progression.

HMK : the design is simple and I like more simple themes. The golden effect is so nicely printed and renders so well. The color choices are awesome and although I prefer tournament set with always the same pattern, your progression is well thought. Also, you made nice accessoires (dealer, bounty and plaques). The usage of a "jeton" is awesome and you convinced me to go that direction for my tourney set. The design of the plaques is a blast too.

Hats down for both of you.

In the end, my vote went for HMK to highlight the design work (don't get me wrong, I know lots of thoughts has also been put into the Vesper's set) to take the best of the "SF hybrid" platform (those oversized HB005 are some of my favourite chips) and how he mixed together 2 different vendors into a very cohesive set.

It's alright. I think i'm in the right category with all the shiny MSK plaques and jetons, it probobly wouldn't have been fair in the ceramic class. I'm just facing off against an amazing set that @gopherblue created. I had the vesper pegged as the favourite to win the open class, and I wouldn't be surprised if the set goes far in the overall competition, so i'm thrilled to even get this many votes. Have a great weekend everyone!
