ARGEM is the BARGE (Big August Rec.Gambling Excursion) spinoff held annually at Baltimore's Live! casino, just a couple of miles from BWI airport, in Hanover. (Points earned at ARGEM count toward the BARGE Player-of-the-Year competition.)
ARGEM 2019 is coming up June 21-23, and registration is open until June 16. Live! has a 50-table poker room, and the pink chip game will be in full swing!

2019 Tournament Details:
· Friday June 21, 2019 – 12:15: Limit HORSE
· Saturday June 22, 2019 – 12:15: No Limit Short Deck Hold’em
· Sunday June 23, 2019 – 12:15: Pot Limit BigO High / Omaha Eight
The buy-in for each of our tournaments is $100+$20+$10 (Prize Pool + House Rake + Dealer Toke Pool).
Everyone 21 years of age or older is welcome to join us at ARGEM. The *only* requirement is that you register with us in advance on our website. We charge a small registration fee that is used to buy our tournament winner's trophies and a commemorative coin/card protector that is given to each registrant on arrival.
Excursion Registration fee:
To attend our events and play in our tournaments, everyone must register online and pay the ARGEM registration fee of $25. The registration fee must be paid in advance.
The FIRM DEADLINE for registration is the end of the day Sunday, June 16, 2019. If you haven't registered by then AND PAID YOUR REGISTRATION FEE you will NOT be registered for ARGEM.
Payment Options for your registration fee will be in the email you receive once you register.
When you register, please choose your badge names carefully. Your "nickname" will appear in larger print, and your "real name" below, in smaller print.
You can register for each tournament at the Live! Poker Room tournament registration desk on the second floor of the poker room each day or anytime between Friday morning until registration closes for each event. You must have your ARGEM badge to register for the tournaments. Our group prides itself on being generous to the dealers so we take an additional $10 from each player at to enhance the dealer tokes. The additional $10 dealer toke is given to the dealer when you get your seat as an add-on. You get extra tournament chips, they get an extra $10 added to the dealer toke pool.
Lodging:
The Live! Poker Room has set aside a Limited block of rooms for us at Live1 Hotel adjacent to the casino and Live Lofts, about a mile away with a complimentary 24 hour shuttle; make reservations using the links found in the ARGEM registration email you will receive after you register.
The rates (mot including applicable taxes and resort fees) are:
$129 a night for the Live! Hotel adjacent to the casino.
$79 or $89 a night (King vs two Queen beds) for the Live Lofts Hotel a mile away.
Note that rooms are NOT unlimited. So, if you are a regular poker player at the Live! Poker Room and are already eligible for their poker rate, please make your reservation as you normally would. This will help save our designated rooms for others. Additional Lodging options can be found on the ARGEM web site.
