I have some sample sets I am trying to find more info on.
I really like the feel of the Aura set and saw an awesome tournament set for sale today that said it was Mitsui. I got out the old box of samples and sure enough, I had some that kinda looked similar.
I don't like the feel of these quite as much as the Aura but figured I'd try and find out what I can about them.
Anybody?

How do the gemacos compare to the Abatti? I love the looks of Park Place chips. Hoping to get a sample set some day.

Yeah, no, no contest. The short story is that the Abiatti are superior. Yes, you can start talking about price comparison and the fact that there's some bleeding issues of the injection molding in Abiatti chips. But they hands down win.

I received a Tropicana sample set today and really don't care for them even compared to the casino royals in first post above.
Any advice what I will like then?
I like the rounded edges on my Aura Casino sample set the most so far.

Think I will like the Emerald Bays I've had my eyes on or will they be too close to the tropicanas I don't like? I really like the colors of them but haven't seen the chips in person yet.

Tropicana ... Evansville? If so, then those are made by Gemaco and are so totally different from Matsui and Abiatti. Even within a brand, like Matsui, the colors and sizes of the chips could mean they are made from a different kind of plastic and, thus, have a different feel.

I'm an equal opportunity chip guy; I love my clays (both Paulson and CPC) but I also love all the ceramics (SunFly, Abiatti, BRPro, Matsui, etc). Although there are always cons to every kind of chip, they are also lots of positives.

We can't tell you what you will like; I could say that lots of Matsui's feel "rubbery" to me (especially the Aruba Radisson ones). But I also kinda like that. The Tina chips don't feel the best, but they are fully custom, and can be gorgeous if designed properly.

Again, my BR Pros don't feel the best out of all my chips, but I love their color saturation and design. The Abiatti's are one of the best feeling plastic chips, but some people dislike their slipperyness.

My Aura Casino ones are kinda rubbery and I do like that.
I guess I'm confused who makes what.
I like the looks of Raddisons. Thanks for saying they were Mitsui.
Are my Aura Mitsui as well?
Do you know who makes the Emerald bay?
I think I saw Park Place were Abiatti.
Two others I like the looks of.
