Are CPC Rounders Chips Worth the $$? (2 Viewers)

What breakdown? And congrats!
Thanks! I ended up going with the breakdown @Colquhoun recommended. Let’s me cover 10 handed cash games from $.25/$.25 up through $1/$2. Also gives me enough to run a nice tourney set up with little overlap on chips.

$0.25 - 200
$1 - 200
$5 - 200
$25 - 120
$100 - 120
$500 - 50
$1,000 - 75
$5,000 - 35

1000 total

David said he got 4000 chips worth of orders just this week (not counting mine)…I’m assuming this forum has something to do with that!

Rebuilt my table and it's just about ready for a game. Need to finish mounting the rail to the table and covering the outer edge where you can see the SSC, but she's almost there. Also, disregard the rail wrinkles. This was my first attempt at a raised, properly padded rail and I learned a few lessons about using the cup holder spacers. It will drive me nuts, but it will do for now. I think next time I'll skip the cupholders altogether but the holes were already there so I went ahead with them this time. But, this is just a temporary solution until I clear some space and build a full-size table. I was worried about the bronze speed cloth but I really like the way it turned out and matches my basement color scheme pretty well.

Just need about 995 more chips and I'll be set!

Evening all! Finally got my chips all oiled up and played a few friendly games with the family. Man I love the feel and sound of these chips!

Also repurposed a wine table/cabinet we had into a chip cage. Added a bottom, back, and middle shelf then threw a couple of puck lights in from Costco. I’m happy with it considering it was something we were just going to get rid of.

Hat tip to @Mojo1312 for the Rounders buttons!

Thanks again to everyone who commented on the chat. It definitely helped me make my decision and I don’t regret it one bit!

Not only are they true casino chips, they are made by the company that made the chips for the film. The inlay is EXACT as in the film, the only difference is the mold, which was a change that was necessary to fulfill the agreement with the movie company.
I love the feel of them.

Do you find that this chip breakdown is sufficient for a 8-10 player $10k tournament? Are you able to do rebuys?

Its actually good for a 20 person tourney.

T 25 - 160
T 100 - 160
T 500 - 80
T 1k - 140
T 5k - 60

For 1 (12/12/5/7) or 2 (8/8/4/7) table 10k starting stacks.

Lots of great reads in the following thread, especially this post, which I used for my breakdown in a T25 tourney:

I've been thinking about selling some Paulson chips to fund the CPC Rounders. There will be a time when they will not be available. My crowd loves the movie so I'm sure it will be a hit.
Definitely do it....I also think they won`t be around for ever. ( I thought the same thing with Paulson WTHC....sold my set, and thought I could just buy them back when ever I want.... LOL

intersting. I have never oiled mine up at all. What's the benefit?
Real clay chips tend to have fainter colors, the dryer they get. And since they tend to be very dry when new, the colors don’t look as nice as they could. As chips are handled and played, they’ll pick up natural oils through the skin, and the colors of the clay will deepen. But you can give them a touch of mineral oil to speed this up.
As we speak, I’m sitting here removing cancellation hot stamps from some chips (as best as I can - as you can see, they don’t come off entirely) with non-acetone nail polish remover. The process of nail polish remover, then washing, leaves the chips quite dry.
The red-circled chip is normal condition.
The lighter colored chips have been mail polished and cleaned and are dry. The deeper colored chips looked just like the lighter ones, but then got a light rubbing of oil, and now look better.

This is the benefit.

Just ordered mine and was wondering what is the best way to get bounty chips with the bear in the crosshairs? David at CPC indicated that it is a custom chip with 300 minimum. Any advice would be great! Thank you.
Start an interest thread to see if others want to split the 300. Or, tag on your one design/chip to someone else’s order for the same mold.

The latter is what I will be doing to get a custom Rounders $25k.

CPC minimums for custom chips are 300 total in the order, 100 minimum per denomination. If all you want is the crosshairs version, then yes, you'd have to split the order over many buyers. If you are thinking other custom chips as part of an order, you can make these part of that.

(the Rounders chips are stock designs, but the bounty chips or any denominations outside the stock offerings are considered custom)

As others have posted in this thread, the stock chips only go up to $500look kind of anticlimactic once you get above $500. So if you wanted a tournament set (which is normally what you'd want bounties to go with), you could get stock T25s, T100s, and T500s, and then custom T1ks, T5ks, and bounties. That's 3 demons, and even with a small tourney set, that should get you pretty close to the 300 chip MOQ.

Edit: Sorry, I'm dumb. They definitely do have larger chips (including 43mms), but they aren't as well executed as members customs have been

This isn't true. There are stock $1000's and $5,000's, but they're, how should I say it....drab looking. Just my opinion.

Oh shoot, my bad. I legit just looked at the site and somehow missed them completely. Thanks

Are the 500 and 1000 just opposite colors (base/spots) ?

Does not it create dirty stack issue ?

The base color on the 500 is purple and the spots on the 1000 are more blue…the base of the 1000 is gold and the spots on the 500 are more orange.
That said, they all are a bit close, I guess it could be an issue under certain circumstances, but I haven’t had a problem with it yet.
