Got a fat check at work last month and decided to buy a few cool swords i saw online which was probably dumb considering idk anything about swords and they might be poor quality.
Curious if anyone is into swords and where they buy them. Drop pics of cool swords you own

Are you looking for replica swords that you can display or actual battle swords for medieval (etc) training, tourney competitions?

Big difference in price, the replicas won't hold up to much use that includes contact.

I used to collect swords, but I haven't publicly displayed then for quite some time. I've never bought online, because I want to know the construction and quality. Besides, "online" wasn't a place people did business when I was buying.

I probably wont buy any more tbh i just bought a few that looked cool and got me curious about the market. Idk if the ones i got fit more into one category more than the other. They are mot replicas tho

I wouldn't collect swords in general, but I'd love to have the WETA Workshop production design replicas of the swords used in the LOTR trilogy.
That sounds epic! I bought my brother one for christmas few years back and links sword from legend of zelda. They were sweet!

Not really full-on swords but I have a couple of Swamp Rat Rodent Wakis (wakizashi):

For this last pic, for comparison's sake, the blade on the left is a Schrade Priscilla - very nice handling (I've been dabbling in FMA since 1988), and I keep another one in my car but they're nowhere near as rugged/sturdy as the Waki.
And this is the video that got me to buy them, lol:

If I ever get around to buying a full size, for my budget, I'd probably be looking at a Paul Chen/Hanwei practical katana

Or maybe something from Zombie Tools:
