Alright, I still almost can't believe it, but my stress test of a small order worked. The correct product arrived and everything went off without a hitch. I was able to get a box of each color except for brown in hand. Shipping time was super quick. I had the cards in hand in under a week from the time I sent payment. When I didn't hear much after sending payment I got a little worried, but everything came through. These apparently got in via FedEx last week but I didn't see the email until today that the box was delivered to my local Walgreens waiting for pickup. I am off today from work and being scheduled to work the rest of the week, I rushed over to Walgreen's and picked up the box that was waiting for me.

I spent the last hour or so having opened a set up and shuffling, pitching, and otherwise throwing them around my table. Here are my quick and dirty initial thoughts on these cards:

Feel: As far as the card texture goes, the backs are smooth just as the bridge size Club Poker cards are. However, the card faces don't have the same slippery, grid like finish as the Club Poker cards do though. These are much closer to the standard matte finish common with lots of cards with just a slight texture. I much prefer the feel of these compared to the Club Poker cards.

They handle and shuffle like a dealer's dream all that being said. It's no surprise this is a card line that Matsui sells to its casino customers. They have a really nice snap when shuffled, but they're very soft feeling like the Cartamundi cards from Belgium I have. The Cartamundi cards are thicker I think, though. The Aristo Clubs are very thin. I found it hard to believe that I was holding a 52 card deck they were do light and thin. Compared to a deck of desjgn Grand Victorian cards, the deck of Victorians are a full 6(!) cards thicker than the Aristo Clubs.

Visuals: On the face side, the cards have the small, cream colored box within the numbered cards. This box outlining the cream center is a shade of blue though, instead of black like most decks are. The pips and numbers on some of the cards, though less so compared to the bridge cards, are a bit stretched out, but look nice overall. This is most noticeable on the 2 and 3 cards for some reason.

Price: These are priced to sell. $4.45 USD per deck. Poker Jumbo only. Shipping because it was a small order added about $2 per deck to the price, but with a larger order, shipping will most likely add about $1 more to the price per deck. Plus reshipping when the time comes to place the order thread.

Packing: Shrink wrap only, you'll need your own card boxes to store these.

@Forty4 and I have been chatting via PM throughout the day as he will be taking over this buy for me. I'm sad that I don't have it in me at the moment to see this through. I'm really appreciative of @Forty4 for taking this over to finish what I had started and to get some of these cards into the community. I initially wasn't expecting being able to provide this update any time soon or at all for that matter, but I'm glad that I was able to before I go more into lurk mode and posting less in the days and weeks to come. The order thread will be opening soon, so keep an eye out!

Joe

thanks for getting us this far.

Incoming........

& I'm likely still in for the GB since the price will likely be decent & based on your review I think they're definitely worth picking up a few sets for the price.

when the GB topic opens, someone slap me with it.
