He had a set of Aces??? Am I missing somethingIt stinks, but honestly I think the poor bastard with the set of queens has more to complain about.
If you look at the action, QQQ dude got all their money in really good on the flop.He had a set of Aces??? Am I missing something
Ah I glanced quickly at that, not close enough obviouslyIf you look at the action, QQQ dude got all their money in really good on the flop.
Oh wait- no *I* wasn't looking closely enough. All the money got in preflop. AA had 80.84% equity, QQ had 4.98%, K2 had 14.17%. If that board runs out a hundred times, you only win about 81 of them with AA. You still got your money in really good and should keep doing that.Ah I glanced quickly at that, not close enough obviously![]()
I did that again with 35$ just now and lost vs Q2 pre-flopOh wait- no *I* wasn't looking closely enough. All the money got in preflop. AA had 80.84% equity, QQ had 4.98%, K2 had 14.17%. At least you were only 65bbs deep.anyone else had bad luck like this with aces before?
Your equities are a little off. AsAc had 72.12%, QdQh had 18.55%, and Kh2c had 9.34% He still got it in very good, which is all one can hope for.Oh wait- no *I* wasn't looking closely enough. Hey, don't tap the glass on the fish bowl. You might scare them away.So some shitface decided to play for stacks, pre, with K2o, and rivered Broadway. Yup, that’s poker,
Thats not bad luck, that math. Try playing Omaha.anyone else had bad luck like this with aces before?
LOL...I have you beat by 1. I lost to Q2 this past Thursday. Playing $1/$1 hold em, and I raised $12 preflop. First time at this game, but I knew it played bigger than $1/$1. My $12 raise got 4 calls, which I knew was bad news. Q2 villain flopped 2 pair. Lesson learned....bet bigger preflop.anyone else had bad luck like this with aces before?
This kind of thing happens all the time. The worse the player pool, the more often big hands are going to go down to junk. But also the more big hands are going to win long term. That's just the way it is.anyone else had bad luck like this with aces before?
With aces? No. You need to learn how to play them better and they will hold up every time.anyone else had bad luck like this with aces before?
It's exactly to those cretins that you loose your money to.he played more than 70% of his hands and kept getting away with it... I lost like 200$ to players like him over the last 10 days... Having a monster hand and losing more than winning with them.
I know you’re joking, but there are plenty of people who actually believe that. Yes, rake an extra buck out of every pot for insurance in case poker happens.Aces cracked promotions are pretty great. Guaranteed money.
They have other promos as well, splash pots, 64 low at Big O, hot seats and pot sweeteners during sports event and such. They also have a reasonable BBJ. Best promotions I’ve seen in a casino. They’re gonna take the drop anyway so might as well maximize what we get out of it.I know you’re joking, but there are plenty of people who actually believe that. Shit, maybe you can answer this for me. I was playing in a tournament at Hampton one time, and some woman at the table asked if there was an aces cracked bonus there. At the time, I’d never heard of such a thing, so I laughed at her. But she insisted her regular room - one that was another hour or two north, that I’d never played in - had a $200 bonus for cracked aces. They have other promos as well, splash pots, 64 low at Big O, hot seats and pot sweeteners during sports event and such. It’s $100 it aces get cracked at anything from 3/6 LHE to 3/5 NLHE. They usually have 8-12 tables going, plus 1-2 tables of Big O where they have a 6-4 low cracked bonus of $100.Shit, maybe you can answer this for me. I don’t think we ever established if she was talking about cash or tournament, but I remember trying to do the math in my head, and I couldn’t figure out how it could be sustainable to pay out $200 every time aces got cracked (at low stakes.)
Do you have any idea what room she was talking about or if not, how aces cracked bonuses work? Are the bonuses generally lower (than say 100 big blinds at a cash table). Or am I just overestimating how often aces get cracked?
