2026 Hall of Fame Stump Thread (1 Viewer)

Seriously, there are so many sets that should be Hall of Fame but aren't.
There’s always a few factors at play worth recognizing:
  • I think there’s a big distinction between being rated by majority as “best” vs “best for their time”. Trying to compare new sets to some older HoF sets is like pitting modern athletes vs their counterparts from the 1950s. Just a lot of learnings over time.
  • Many of the hall of fame sets from earlier periods also likely inspired a lot of the design, spot, color choices of modern sets - and so they have lost some of their “uniqueness” to new chippers.
  • IMO there are acquired tastes with chips, just like foods. Some sets that I strongly disliked at first I love now, and similarly some “eye candy” sets that drove me here have dropped significantly in my personal rankings.
  • HoF votes go toward majority favorite style not someone’s personal favorite style. Doesn’t mean all the sets that win will look similar, but certain “sharp edge” design choices that some may love can also hurt a set.
All of that as just a long-winded way to say… bump.

@TKEUofM’s Miller’s Bar and Poker Room has always been one of my favorites. Classic 3D14 spots, excellent color combinations and the inlay design is sublime.

I will submit my own set : https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/divinerites-set-accessories-cpc-csq-cash.121611/

Set: Divinerites | Cash
Manufacturer: Classic Poker Chips (CPC)
Designer: @mattross1313
Mold: Circle Square (CSQ)
Production Year: 2024

My idea was to have the « whole shebang » : set, accessories, and an Alex @alecnetwoodworks box.
Yes, OCD of some sort.

A quick PM to Matt @mattross1313 and here we start.

Obviously I wanted to stick to the vintage Vegas mood, but I really didn’t wanted to copycat all this fantastic vintage designs (Dunes, Mapes, Sands, Aladdin, etc.).

The Stardust chips were a fav of mine, so we decided to take inspiration from the Stardust.

I needed that someone can see the link, but without copying too much of the original design.

I made the color & spot choices for the chips with the CPC design tool, and Matt helped with the label design and files for production.

For the colors I really wanted to stick to the color mood used around this area, but without being too boring.
I also tried to minimise the price by carefully choosing the whole design (spots & colors).
I also wanted to avoid the flashy colors like the fantastic Big Top or Tiger. You see the point.

Surprised it hasn't already been nominated, but to add another banger to this thread I'll nominate "Jack's Fishing CPC Set" (https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/jacks-fishing-cpc-set.116553/). Great use of monochrome, and as someone that always says, "white is the most underrated insert/edge color", @Jacks goes out and proves it for me.

One of the few sample sets I own and in my card capper rotation.

+1 updoot.

I will second The Nuts for the mixing of patterns which is super unique, and the Athenian Owl for its excellent design. Pinapple Beach also gets credit for a goated maroon chip.

I've nominated this set before and do not understand how they are not in. I believe they are older than the current date range, so would have to go in under the "Legacy" category.

Yes, these are definitely cool! I especially like the use of the COG inlay shape to fit the bike tire theme.

Not sure it rises to the level of the others, but a shameless self-plug for @svickn's Bon Temps Jouer set that I helped design:

Pineapple Beach Hotel & Casino (PBHC)

Classic Poker Chips:
Cash and Tournament Set
Original reveal link: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/pineapple-beach-hotel-casino.123188/

I would like to nominate my Pineapple Beach Hotel and Casino set for consideration for the 2026 PCF Hall of Fame.

PBHC is a custom casino concept consisting of both a cash set and a matching tournament set, designed together as a cohesive system. The goal was to create a set that feels like a complete property that could exist on Maui, with a consistent identity across all denominations that honors the island’s vibrant beauty and culture.

Design Inspiration

The concept for PBHC was developed during a family trip to Maui in July 2023. The set draws directly from the visual and sensory elements of the island. Much of the design process took place while sitting on the beach, experimenting with colors and combinations in the CPC tool.
  • Ocean tones and shifting blues
  • Tropical vegetation and vibrant florals
  • Lava rock and dark volcanic earth
  • Sunsets over Black Rock Beach
  • Shaved ice desserts and bright island color palettes
The intention was to create a tropical set that feels upscale and intentional. The target aesthetic was less novelty resort and more refined destination. Something that could exist as a luxury property with personality.

Identity and Mold Integration

One of the most important design decisions was aligning the identity of the set with the molds themselves.

The crown on the pineapple logo was intentionally designed to visually echo the crown found on both the Small Crown and Large Crown molds. This connection helped unify the inlay and the physical chip in a subtle but meaningful way. The result is a design where the artwork does not sit on top of the chip, but instead feels integrated into it.

It is also not lost on me that both the Small Crown and Large Crown molds carry deep historical significance within the chip community. Being able to use these legacy molds as the foundation for a set that expresses something vibrant, modern, and luxurious was an honor. PBHC is, in many ways, a bridge between eras. Classic mold heritage paired with a contemporary, expressive design language.

Cash Set

5¢ through $1,000
CPC Small Crown Mold

The cash set was designed first and served as the foundation for the entire project.

A few notable choices:
  • The $1 and $100 chips served as anchor pieces in the lineup
  • The $20 chip evolved the most during the design process and ultimately landed on a black base inspired by the lava rock at Black Rock Beach, paired with blue and pink tones reflecting sunset light
  • The $100 white chip uses blue, purple, and pink tones inspired by shaved ice, creating a bright but balanced presence
  • Earth tones, florals, and vegetation are represented throughout the lineup to maintain a natural connection to the island inspiration

Higher denominations such as $500 and $1,000 were included to complete the visual arc and round out the set.

Tournament Set

T100 through T25,000
CPC Large Crown Mold

The tournament set was designed as a complementary extension of the cash set. The goal was to introduce more structure while maintaining the overall identity.

  • Spot pattern selected: 3D14 for consistency, balance, and clarity across the full progression
  • Intentional color progression with increasing visual intensity as denominations rise
  • The T5000 chip leans into a deeper maroon and red palette inspired by flowing lava, adding contrast and weight to the upper tier
The tournament set was designed to feel like a natural extension of the PBHC property rather than a separate concept.

Full System

When viewed together, the cash and tournament sets form a complete environment.

This was always the goal. Not just a set of chips, but a cohesive casino system that reflects a singular identity across all formats of play.

Acknowledgments

This project represents my first custom set and my entry into the PCF community. It would not have been possible without the inspiration and support found here.

Special thanks to:
@Colquhoun for inlay design execution and creative direction
@David Spragg for craftsmanship and guidance throughout the process

@Irish for the CPC loaner service, which made it possible to evaluate chip colors and combinations in person

Final Thoughts

PBHC was designed to be vibrant, playable, and cohesive, while still feeling intentional and complete. It is deeply personal to my experience in Maui, but also intended to be broadly appealing as a fully realized casino concept.

I am honored to submit it for consideration.

Wow, I had completely missed seeing this set on PCF, @ChipMonster. Fantastic set! (As are all the sets in this thread, but I had come across the rest in passing before.)

100% Belong here! I remember when they were introduced. Amazing colors and integrations between the clay and the inlays. That $20 is SOOOO Louisiana!

Love it, keep the stumps coming (and remember to enter the "Stump Thread" giveaway! ( https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/pcf-hall-of-fame-stump-thread-giveaway.143215/#post-2903180 )

One set that I've always low-key loved is "Frosty's Poker Club" set from @BottomPair7, esp. the $1 chip. For me, an excellent example of how to make great use of the available real estate on a ceramic chip vs. just mimicking existing clay chip design features (matching table felts always get bonus points from me too!) There's no official reveal thread, but it's at least a few years old at this point.
