So I have been talking with Ace Playing Card Company out of India and with Dal Negro in Italy. I am needing sample decks from Ace as I am unfamiliar with their plastic and have asked for some, but nothing yet. For Dal Negro, I have Freedom and Torcello decks to handle and await a quotation. If it is good, I am able, for this run only, to have red/blue backs plus an additional color combo set. I’d love Victorians to be with Dal Negro.

For the 4-color decks, Classic Circle, I am most likely sticking with Amass for its production, unless Ace wows me. Amass did the Classic Cultures and Baroque (reprint).

I will showcase the artwork for 4-color decks this weekend with bridge/jumbo index.

Can’t wait to see the 4-colors.

Love the Amass stock, pretty tough to beat IMO!

All in on some Red/Blue Victorians, although might just have to get the other colour set also!

Does Amass have a more flexible stock?

They have a textured stock that is more flexible, but it is not as bright a white stock. The first Victorians were printed on this stock in the red/blue.

Your choice will be fantastic, but that little bit of texture to the casino cards is one of my favorite things about them. That, and everything else about them.

Love your cards. Like shuffling butter. I used to buy Modiano's because I dig the poker index. Won't buy them anymore because of their history, but I'd love to see a poker index on your cards.

With the four-color decks... Please take great care in choosing the colors. I’ve bought others where the whole point (having distinct colors for each suit) was defeated because the company did not think this through.

For example: Dark blue/dark purple shades can easily look black in imperfect lighting. Dark orange shades can look red. Greens and blues can merge as well.

I know it sounds elementary. But it seems some other card companies dive into four-color production without choosing four colors carefully, taking value, hue and saturation into consideration... They just pick black, red and two other colors and say, “Wow! We did it!” It seems they have a lack of understanding of color theory.

100% ^^^^ THIS.. I am in the same boat.. Some of the players that cant see as well tend to HATE 4 color due the Blue being to close to the black (or mistaken)..

I personally have little interest in four colors decks and I’m not sure of their wide spread appeal outside of type of people that frequent this forum.....but I hope to hell you guys buy a shit ton of these when they come out! Desjgn is making the coolest cards out there and I want him to be motivated to make several other designs. A reprint of the Classic Culture or simply bridge sized reprints of his early designs ....on a flexible stock like the cultures or casinos ....would be outstanding and I would buy a shit ton of them. I think they could be a big sellers too on Amazon, etc
