I need to do another run of Victorians (in a new 2 color offering) and would like to know your thoughts between doing the blackjack index, a 4-color deck offering, or something else when I go to press with the Victorians. Also, let me know your thoughts on doing a Kickstarter for either of the latter ideas. I think I would only focus on the cards for it and maybe do a cool, pewter card guard, and another ace cut card. Nothing more extraneous than that.

Definitely in for 4 color decks!

What's the blackjack index? Are the victorians poker sized?

I LOVE the Victorians and would want absolutely nothing changed except maybe some new back colors to mix things up. I have no desire for 4 color decks.

Victorians are poker/jumbo. Here is the comparison between indices to give you an idea, from left to right regular, blackjack, jumbo.

I feel that 4-color decks are a novelty, however, I appreciate those that voice their opinion (yours included) for them here.

You should start a poll. With specifics.

I am in for Bridge Jumbo 4 color deck. Plastic as close to the Classic Cultures as possible.

If only poker sized cards I will pass.

I voted for Blackjack index, as that is one of the features that makes me love the Vics so much. That said, I'll still buy a couple setups of four-color if you happen to run them.

(Let's face facts, you're getting my money no matter what.)

I thought the CV's had the jumbo index, based on Desjgn's post. If so, the blackjack index would be smaller and in-between the CV's and the Flourish sizes.

The current "jumbo" index on the CV's is already smaller than many of the other jumbos on the market, and works well. And to my mind, one of the nice aspects of the CV's is the ability to have multiple desks in play that have different colour backs but are otherwise the same on the faces. Having a mix of styles for the CV's would be a bit odd, at least to me. That happened once already between v1 and v2 of the CV's, and it's one of the reasons why I rarely use the v1 red/blue setup I have with the others.

Would love to see a re-emergence of the red/blue back for the current CV's (there was a brief run of them...still wish I didn't give my setup away with a chip sale), or perhaps a yellow/black setup.

What about a card guard for backers instead of a dealer button?

Or both options!

Oh snap. My wallet just ran for cover.

Oops, you're right; I got confused and had to pull them out and look. Wasn't it the Classic Paisley that had blackjack index?

I prefer the blackjack index with jumbo a close second. For me blackjack is the right balance between "big enough to see from across the table" and "not so big that you can't peek an Omaha hand."

I'm running on three hours sleep, so if this is the worst mistake I made today, it was a good day. (y)

Nope, not a stupid question. At the top of the thread, above my first post, select your option and click the cast vote button on the right side of the poll.
Don’t seem to have the option to select anything or vote, perhaps because I’m a new user.

If you recall on the Paisleys “jumbo” index, then yes you are correct as it featured the medium blackjack index. :)

Good, I'm not crazy then, because I pulled out my last remaining setup of the Classic Paisley which is regular index. When I saw that I really thought I was losing it. :nailbite:

4-color decks ARE a novelty. But there aren't any good ones available. You can get Copags. And...Copags. I'll buy one of each color of any quality 4-color deck that anybody makes. My players love them.
