A TRIBUTE TO GEMACO SUPERFLEX
It's amazing what you can find on a freezing cold Sunday. The Key West card inventory says we have six decks of Gemaco Superflex Poker Jumbo decks somewhere. I bought them from Kardwell before a larger deal for more Superflex decks fell through when they decided to double the price. I can only find one deck. I decided to put it on my home Blackjack table today and try a few photos. (More below after the photos.)

For those not familiar with the cards, Superflex decks were a Gemaco offering when it was an independent company. They were the company's "top-of-the-line" plastic card, and they look, feel and handle like no other plastic cards.

About a month ago, I reached out to Gemaco and to their parent company, Angel in Japan via email. So far, no response.

But at least I have one deck.

Yes, I'm guessing Kardwell might have a few stray decks lying around. I vowed never to deal with them again after they burned us.

It was a PCF group buy in 2016. I spoke by phone with the owner -- an older gentleman who was very nice. He was actually anxious to sell off his Superflex stock to our group. Decks were going to ship at $10 each.

I got a call the following day from a woman who said he "made a mistake" and confused the terms "setups" and "decks." Basically, I was being told we'd have to pay twice as much, and they were refusing to sell all the decks we needed for the group. (I wasn't buying that a man who had been in the business for decades would confuse "setups" and "decks.") And now they're offering the same decks for almost $30. Hmm.

Here's the original group buy link:

What is it with card manufacturers and sellers? I feel like a lot of manufacturers have something about them that makes doing business with them revolting.
