Look, CPC is the most rational and straightforward way of making a custom set - unless the concept is "Sunset Beach":LOL: :laugh:, begging for ultra-bright colors.
But you 've got to FIRST fall in love with an idea (or, being a man, two or three of them :D - then we can help you out)
Columnists' advice seldom lead to happiness :p
Seek what is emotionally important to you and can still be encapsulated in a very short logo or plain drawing.

No I get that. I probably won’t ever do a CPC myself. Got a cheap personal relabel going, a cheap fun custom on CCs, and one day planning to do a fantastic relabel on some specific THCs. This isn’t about that.

This is meant to be an amalgam from everyone here. Throw the kitchen sink against the wall and see what sticks. Supposed to be fun for others, as you can pick, choose, and vote, all leading to an eventual product that will be ordered or made, and you get samples!

It seems like everyone here sits in front of a pad jotting down ideas all day, in front of the computer playing with chip colors and designs, and we’ve all been complaining about lack of content. So here’s the thread to have some fun!

OK. I get it:)
Old wild West with a twist?
"Missionary in the Mission"? (already too long?):)
Or, just one chip could be labelled like that, and the rest "Doggy in the Mission", "Cowgirl in the Mission", "Atumn Dog in the Mission" etc.
My humble 2c.
:D

Single malt scotches . . . Chip labels approximate bottle labels, age replaced by denomination.

How about characters you see in a cardroom - nits, donks, OMCs, fish, whale, hoodie-sunglasses-headphones guy, etc. could be some fun characatures/illustrations.
This is my favorite idea so far.

NCV: Hammer2171
5c: Nits
25 c: Donks
$1: OMC
$5: Fish
$25: Whale
$100: Hoodie
$500: Johnny Chan
$1000: Matt Damon (not his Rounders character, just the guy himself)
$5000: Negraneau/Hellmuth/an actual poker great

....on one condition.

The artwork is all to be done by @BonScot

I think Tony retired lol

For some reason this theme popped into my head. So many characters to build inlays around, each with their own distinct colour schemes:

Michaelangelo = Orange = fracs
Donatello = Blue = $1s
Raphael = Red = $5s
April O'Neil = Yellow = $20s or 1000s
Shredder = grey/black = $100s
Donatello = purple = $25s or $500s
Splinter = brown/grey = 5000
...

So many options! ;) :D

how about 80s\90s video game
5 mario brothers mario red and blue spots
25 mario brothers lugi green blue spots
100 donkie kong black\chocolate i acctualy cant remember what the gorilla color was
500 qbert (cant remember if he was orange or purple)
1000 pac man yellow with 4 spots one for each ghost i think it was red blue orange pink

or zelda, fighting games, defender. astroids, space invaders, etc.

Wine theme/colors
grapes or glasses for the design
simple edge spot progression going for the classy theme
FDL, circle square, or plain textured for the molds

or a set dedicated to the best last stands in battle, im sure the uniforms would translate to colorful chips
the Spartans 300
alamo
stand of the swiss guard (during the Sack of Rome 189 swiss army soliders fought off an entire army till the last man allowing the pope to flee to safety)
bunker hill (dont shoot till you see the whites of thier eyes)
Charge of the light brigade

Oh this is pretty dope, this is pretty fricken dope. I feel like this works well with poker, “The Last Stand” or whatnot.

Uncle Buck on ceramics

He bowled at the Palace Bowl in the movie, so we have a place and location on one side.

And the on the other side we have a caricature of uncle Buck with the denoms written underneath "One Buck" "Five Bucks" "Twenty Bucks".

Thinking the ceramics would be cheaper than clay and possibly more appealing for the gimmicky idea.

I wanted to do a Zodiac set but Moscow ran out on me mid design haha. I'll add a picture of the concept below that he had mocked up as a starting point. I think it would be a sick set and the Chinese zodiac really ties into the poker/gambling theme. This was going to be the year of the rabbit chip. The other side was going to have the card room name "The Zodiac" with a picture of a rabbit and the actual chip denom. This was the frac I had lined up. It was a promising concept and I think it would have been killer but Moscow skeemed the forum and left so yeah..

Almost LOLed on this one. I'll get the OP updated with what everyone's got. Some solid options so far!
