Hey all,

I’m from Australia where the selection of poker chips is pretty limited, and most of what we can get locally seems to be either dice chips or the occasional ceramic set (Jacks Poker, Port Royals, etc.). I’ve been lurking here for a while and learning a ton, and it’s inspired me to have a go at making my own custom ceramic chips.

What I’m looking for is a reliable supplier of blank 39mm ceramic chips that are sublimation-ready. I’ve browsed around on Alibaba and similar sites, but I’m a bit wary about quality control, consistency, and also whether I’d be paying too much for the wrong product.

If anyone has recommendations on:
  • Trusted suppliers (either overseas or someone willing to ship to Australia),
  • Tips for sourcing blanks without getting burned on quality,
  • Or whether there are Aussie/EU/US suppliers worth considering even if they cost a bit more,
…I’d really appreciate the advice.

Thanks in advance – I’m excited to get involved and contribute more once I get rolling with some test prints.

Cheers,
Taira

Hello fellow Melbournian! Sounds like a fun project. If I were going down this route I'd probably get Tina's no mould ceramic blanks too. I can out you in touch with the vendor for a price per chip with direct shipping to Australia. Or maybe you could piggyback off a shipment I have coming to Melbs.

They have a different guy that works there too Lyman something.

Is this similar to the group buys I've been seeing? Have you already made an order?

Yup I have two orders coming. My own design on labels they will print and apply to ceramic "hybrid" chips. Should be able to add some blanks to my order for you to pick up in Melbourne when delivered. If the price from them suits.
