Has anyone mentioned a favorite sports team colors throughout their history. Logos and colors usually evolve and change through the history of the team.

Along the lines of your theme @BarrieJ3 I was thinking about making a solar eclipse set, with each set representing different stages of the process.

Was going to try this with the 8V CCs until I found out how expensive those honeycomb racks are.

What about a "Top of the food chain" theme. Something like this:
gnat = frac
spider = $1
bird = $5
cat = $20
coyote?/hawk? = $100
lion/tiger? = $500
human = $2000
shark = $10,000
flesh-eating bacteria/asteroid/?

Human above a lion/tiger? I don’t think so.

Humans kill sharks, too. But in a fight to the death, I’ll take an unarmed lion/tiger/shark every time. “Human” would look weird on a chip.
Great feedback thanks! Just trying to get ideas for sets down on paper for voting, dont really want the thread to devolve into debating labels or viability of someone’s idea of the food chain.

Theme idea: The Fish Bowl The image can be an old school glass fish bowl, the color of the fish can match the edge spots of the chips for integration. The denomination can be bubbly as with the name of the club.

Champagne Room. True champagne only comes from France. Also the Champagne Room is always the most “elite/VIP” room in the Club.

I need to respond to suggestions and update OP, but I do like the idea. One of the few I think we might choose to do by murdering THCs it was a classical design, and I do love champagne. And 11 year old me was really into Chris Rock...

edit: and I like that the set itself could take a classical old poker room design approach, but we could possibly still have fun with bounties or whatnot, with a tip of the hat to that room in the strip club.

Anyone can toss in an idea ?
May I add mine : each denom with an historical Casino we all love for their chips ?

Set "Las Vegas memories"
  • Bourbon Street $0.25
  • Dunes $1
  • El Rancho $2
  • Fitzgeralds $5
  • The Mint $10
  • New Frontier $25
  • Sands $100
  • Stardust $500
    etc...
For each one the design is almost the same, we just change it with the casino name font + silhouette

I love this and I think someone is doing something similar right now, but wouldn’t mind doing it too!

I will have this updated by tomorrow night.

Thanks ! Very interested in the project !
This add the opportunity to pick great chips edgespots from best chips (BOURBON STREET AARRRRGHHHH) and other nice features we each love.

This reminds me of the nice watches projects I saw where fans were able to pick their favorite distinctive signs from past models like the "90 spot" on Omega Speedmaster.

That’s the hope. I figure we’ll vote and choose like top 3 to move forward, that way hopefully we can look at possible designs for more than just a ceramic or relabel or CPC.

Are you going to set up a poll in this thread?

Took a little bit longer, but we're here. First page is updated with the various ideas. If you see your idea and want to flesh it out a little bit (ooc?), please just comment on some more details (love the boudoir idea, love Moulin Rouge, expand or explain those?) . I tried my best to pull all the info from the comments, I may have missed something.

If you haven't thrown in idea in, please do so! slisk250 and wonderpuddle can't have all the good ideas!

Lastly, we'll vote middle of this week. I'm thinking we'll do everyone can vote for whatever/however many they want, and we can maybe roll forward with the top 3 voted in. Keep in mind voting for certain sets will push us towards ceramics/CPC/relabel, etc.

I dig everything mentioned so far, but just to mention some of my favorites on what I thought they would go with (original contributors feel free to correct me!):
Champagne Room on relabels (high end chips, alcohol, murdah!)
Uncle Buck on ceramics, just for the absurdity
Classic LV Locations on a relabel or CPC, this type of label seems like it would play well to the crowd
Last Stands in Battle - no idea how this would work or on what, but I like the storytelling/game theory/combative aspects

Any and all contributions appreciated!

In the sprit of community, how about a labor movement set? (I can already hear people grumble lol)
Lol at least I’d be familiar seeing as how I can’t currently travel, get my home furniture or chips, or get my kids in school due to labor strikes.

But honestly I’ll mark it down, just not sure there’s the knowledge needed on subject matter (by us the masses) to produce a solid design.

Woodlands / Forest Resort (need a proper name)- opposite of the bright themes for sets like BTP and SB, would use still bold but more earthy colors. A simple label with a nature logo

Voting is now open! This may die out, we’ll see what kind of action we get. I’m hoping we get more involvement as we move to designs/colors/spot progression and such.

I’ll share my votes - Champagne Room and Classic Las Vegas locales because these two seem the most realistic as far as creating a legit set where it makes sense to spend good money on murdering some mint chips out there.
Think the designs of each casino on Vegas locales would be cool, and with all the alcohol themes I’ve never seen a champagne room! Would be fun to work in some small nod to the strip club culture that pervades public view of Vegas into a nice, classy set.

Uncle Bucks- I cant even remember if I enjoyed the movie, but seems like the perfect idea for a ceramic set. It’s fun and easy going, doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Last Stands in Battle - I have no idea how this transcribes to poker chips, but I’d love to see what we could come up with. Big fan of the colors translating from troops/companies/armies to the chip, and I like the competitive/war/game theory aspect. Feels like a small nod to the small stacks fighting tooth and nail to get back up. “A chip and a chair”, as they say.

Watch it one day when you get a chance, well worth it imo.

Hoping to develop this idea some day even if there isn't enough interest.

The funny thing is, if OP didn't do a shitty job and actually grouped the alcohol/wine/beer/champagne room together as well as the classic locations/old lv theme/fictional location, this would probably be in the running. The not as funny thing is, so would hard candy mafia :wow:
